Coupons for Disney pins??

Does anybody know where these coupons come from? I've been seeing a bunch on eBay. It is some sort of coupon that is valid at the World of Disney store at DTD to get a free pin.

I'm just wondering if they are legit and where these people would be getting them.

When we were at Downtown Disney at the World of Disney store a nice couple came up to us and asked my girls if they were going to a park the next day. We were so they gave us one of the coupons for the free pin. I think they said they got in some sort of mailing and they weren't able to use it and they thought since my girls traded they would love to have one. It was so nice of them. But I'm not sure where exactly they got them from. I think they had five of them. They gave each of my girls one.

The Birnbaum Official Guide for 2005 has a coupon in the back for a free pin also.

we got them last year from the rice krispies boxes... you needed three coupons for each pin... unfortunately, we don't eat that many rice krispies; fortunately i run a food pantry and my clients allowed me to cut them off their boxes!

There is a free magzine with stitch on the cover at some off site supermarkets malls, etc. with the inside back cover having the coupon.

Here is a "special tip" for all you Disser's going to WDW soon:
When you go to different stores outside of WDW and see a rack with all the discount coupon books there is one particular book that has a coupon on the last page for a free pin at the World of Disney store. It is one of the bigger books and it says "Enjoy Orlando" with Stitch on the front cover. The 3 of us in our family each got about 4 free pins during our two week stay! You are only allowed one free pin per person per day though. You just take the coupon to the information desk at the WoD store and they will give you a pin. We even kept a couple of them because they were too nice to trade! Every time we saw these books, we picked up 3 of them just for the coupons!

There is a coupon for a free pin on the inside back cover of Florida magazine. We found them in the hotels where we stayed. We got several free pins this way also.

So you can only get these mag. in FL? Where did you see them?

The coupons expire in April. I got my Florida magazine at the Country Inn & Suites Calypso Cay and also the Doubletree Club in LBV. I imagine they are in all hotels.
