Bigger envie to Shell today. Thanks to my sender, but they keep sending coupons in long strips and I have to re-cut them all. Can you please cut all the coupons? Thanks![]()
I tend to disagree. I often leave two or three coupons in a strip intact because they fit in an envie better making the envie less thick and then I'm able to use less postage on it. Envies over 3/4" thick cost way more than one that is between 1/4" to 3/4" thick.
What do the rest of you think? How do you do it?
I don't mind them in the strips either. I try to arrange all the coupons so the envie isn't as thick as well and the bigger ones with multiple coupons on it helps that distribution.![]()
I take a plain piece of paper and fold it in half. I then arrange the coupons, layered, to cover one half. I most always have a lot of coupons, and use a 6x9 envelope, so this helps to keep them from shifting and then creating the bulge in the middle. Most weeks, I pay between 1.50 and 2.00 for postage.
Something else I do is trim all the excess away. You would be amazed to see the amount of paper I throw away doing this, therefore decreasing the amount I pay in postage from not mailing un-necessary paper. I do leave some coupons together if they are close with little dead space in between them.
Yes, I received it this past Friday. Thank you. My local paper doesn't carry the P&G nor the Red Plum, so I know what it is like to not get coupons sometimes. I do buy the paper from the closet large city, though that is my preference.Eeyore44
Tried to post last week but it wouldn't let me. Hope you got my envie last week. Had to put it in on Monday night. Mailed a small one today. No coups in my paper yesterday so all I had was what came from my sender. Must have been a Smart Source only week. My paper doesn't have a contract with them.
