We have rented points for a stay at BWV in January. I thought I had read (but I could be wrong) that DVC resorts often have the bounceback offer in the rooms - am I correct, or am I imagining that? And if so, as a renter, would I be eligible to take advantage of it?

Also, now that disney has computerized the ADR system - as a renter, will I be able to use this new system?

You are eligible for any bounce back offer, but it may be cheaper to rent points again.

The ADR system should work for you. Use the reservation number provided to you by the owner.

It is usually a chance to book a vacation at a reduced room rate while you are staying at a WDW resort. The one I was able to take advantage of a few years ago was for the free dining program while I was staying during Christmas week. I have never seen that one again. The last time we were there it was for 40% off the price of the room for a deluxe resort stay. We don't take advantage of them any more since we stay DVC every time except for the one time free dining program at POR. That was when they still included and appetizer and the tip. You have to book before you check out from your current stay. I would think a renter could take advantage of the offer as it is for a cash reservation not a points reservation and might be for any level of resort depending on what they are offering at the time.

Thanks for the clarification. I was wondering how it applied to a DVC owner, but now I see that it really doesn't apply at all unless you are planning to do a cash trip.

thanks for the info. I agree that it's probably always going to be cheaper renting points, but I would love to try the GF, just once!
