Anyone stayed at or heard of the Country Inn and Suites Hotel off International Drive. I can't make up my mind where to stay for our week prior to hitting WDW but like the look of their web site.
Any comments appreciated.

I can't help with info on the hotel since I haven't stayed there. But I have researched it a little and noticed that the best rates for Country Inn seem to be with the Orlando Magic card - $59 for a standard room and $89 for a suite. Hotelkingdom lists a standard room for about $99 a nite so the Orlando Magic card definitely offers the better deal. Hope this helps!:D

LJP, I should be able to tell you in a month's time. I will be there for a couple of nights late in May!

Hi, Country Inns and Suites are very nice hotels (somewhat like a holiday inn). They are also decorated in country touches, mauve and green, nice bedspreads, very clean. Rooms are probably about the size of CBR's. rooms., but with a bigger bath.

I haven't tried the one on I-Drive, but I have stayed at Country Inns and Suites elsewhere and was very favorably impressed. Good value for the money.

We stayed there in March for just 1 night before staying on site and loved it!!! We had a kids suite and the kids loved it! It was very clean, new, the breakfast buffet was wonderful and the pool area though small was very nice. Oh, the people there were very friendly and accommodating. They also have fabulous cookies out in the lobby all day and nite! We only paid $71 plus tax for the kids suite thru www.reservationsystem.com. But I was checking for my friends for a Sept. stay and it was almost $100. I must have just been lucky to get that rate! I would highly recommend it plus you could walk to restaurants and it was very close to Disney .5 mile.

There are currently two Country Inn & Suites in the Oralndo Area. The first is in Lake Buena Vista, convenient to Disney, and the second is near International Drive, convenient to Universal Studios.

Both hotels have websites where you can make reservations with the hotel direct. Check them out, they both seem to have favorable rates:

Country Inn & Suites Lake Buena Vista
http://www.countryinnlbv.com

Country Inn & Suites International Drive
http://www.jaytelhotels.com/countryinn

For your reference, there are other discount sites where you may be able to get better rates. They include:

Orlando Discount Rooms:
http://www.orlandodiscountrooms.com

Orlando Reservation System:
http://www.orlandoreservationsystem.com

and plenty more by searching the net.

Enjoy, and let us know how it was.

Cheers!

Thanks for the replys everyone. :pinkbounc
I think that we'll book the one off International Drive this weekend - we plan on staying there for 7 nights and have our reservations at WDW for the 2nd week. I'll let you know how we get on and Simon if you can, please post and let me know what you think of your stay at the hotel, later this month.
