Country Bear Jamboree Magic Band - Special Effects?

Tried to find this out through searching and talking to folks, but haven't found an answer yet. Has anyone tapped this band in at the Magic Kingdom and found it to play unique sounds w/ different lights than the regular bands? It's coded Amethyst and is a Limited Edition, so I thought it might do something special like the Tiki Bird one from a few years ago.

I bought one on ShopDisney and when it arrived the packaging said "limited release", which in Disney merch speak is lesser than "limited edition." I was under the impression that only limited edition bands that have a specific number produced (like 2,500 for the 2017 Tiki Room band) make special sounds or lights on the readers.
