Counting Our Nuts Like Chip & Dale, a Financially Aware PTR *Update 4/17 Pg 62 *

Oh Leslie, I am so behind on my dising that I had no idea about your foot. Sure hope it heals well and you are feeling good.

Favorite Fantasyland Attraction: Dumbo! I still love riding it first thing with Jeremy.

I thought I commented a while back on the last updates, but apparently not. :lmao:

You and the blisters! We don't need a rain dance, we need a blister dance, and in this case, we want them to go away. Hope they heal up real fast.

I don't know if I can pick a favorite attraction in Fantasyland. That's a seriously tough call! I think that the one I'm most nostaligc about is probably Peter Pan. I loved taking my boys on that this past May because I distinctly remember going on it with my parents.

Glad you finally were able to get outside for some fresh air!

My favorite is Philharmagic too :goodvibes except I always close my eyes when those darn champagne bottle corks come flying at you :rotfl:

:sad2: Sorry to hear about the blisters....that stinks! But it is good to get out of the house for a bit!

I think I'm gonna have to agree with Mickey's Philharmagic for my favourite Fantasyland attraction!:thumbsup2

Favorite Fantasyland attraction...I'd have to go with Philharmagic as well! Although I must say it has spoiled other 3D shows for me, when I went to go see HP 7.5 in 3D right after it came out, I kept on expecting to FEEL and smell things!

I do like Philharmagic, but my favorite in Fantasyland is Peter Pan's Flight. I love the relaxing music and the beautiful views of miniature London.

So sorry about your fractured foot! Have you tried Body Glide to prevent blisters? Glad you are feeling a little better!

Favorite Fantasyland attraction - Philharmagic for me too! Though Dumbo gives me the most nostalgic/this is WDW feeling.

LL - So glad that you are feeling better and that the pain is getting more manageable. Who ever thought Target could be so fun???? :rotfl:

Actually - ME! - Cause the closet Target to my house is over 30 minutes away in either direction!

I just found your PTR and am loving it! Your trip sounds great so far, and I love how you're trying to have this be a "save money" trip. I'm always trying to find the least expensive way to go to WDW, so it's been interesting reading someone else doing the same.
Sorry about your foot! I can only imagine how difficult it must be to walk up and down stairs. Hopefully, you'll have a fast and painless recovery!:thumbsup2

Hope that foot is feeling better today. :goodvibes

Favorite attraction in Fantasyland? I have an affection for the horsies because of Bella, of course, so I would have to make that number one. I love Peter Pan and Philharmagic, though. Ask me in 2013, and I might say Ariel's ride. :thumbsup2

I am so good at this. ;)

I LOVE Mickey's Philharmagic! It was under refurb when we went in '09, which totally bummed me out. But we finally got to see it last October, and it was soooo worth the wait.

Though our first stop in Fantasyland is usually Dumbo, he's my DBF's favorite character and it's one of his favorite rides! :dumbo:

Favorite Fantasyland ride hmmmm...going to go with Philharmagic!! I love love that 3D show! I could just sit in there all day and watch it, of course then I would miss out on the Haunted Mansion and of course we couldn't have that!!

Hope your foot is doing better!!!!

I was behind but I'm caught back up.

First off, I'm so sorry about your foot. I would go nuts if I was stuck on the couch.

Yeah on getting free dining. We're going in Feb for a short trip and we got it too. Also yeah on adding more days.

Loved the countdown calendar. You are so creative.

Now I'm going to catch up on the questions.

My favorite park is the Magic Kingdom. It was the first park I ever went to and I still love it best. My favorite land in Fantasyland. I'm still a kid at heart but Adventureland is a close second. My favorite ride in Tomorrowland is the People Mover. This is kind or ironic. The first time I rode it I was a little perturbed. We had just entered the park and ridden Space Mountain. Due to one of the member of our party getting a little anxiety we did this next to help calm her down. All I could thing was that there were so many more better rides we could be doing. Now I love it. My favorite Fantasyland ride is Peter Pan! It really feels like you're there.

My favorite attraction in Fantasy Land is Philharmagic too! :goodvibes I just love the medley of movies.:love:

I hope your doctor appointment went well today.

I see I have fallen behind so I decided to catch up. Awesome to see you added a few days to your trip! (: Free Dining always makes things better :goodvibes And I'm sorry about your foot, at least it will be off before Disney :thumbsup2

Oh and here is me catching up on the 30 Day Disney Parks Challenge:

Day 1-- Favorite Park: I have to agree with you on Magic Kingdom. I just love the fact that the place is so surreal. There is just no other place like it.

Day 2-- Favorite Land in MK: I'm going with Tomorrowland. I've just found I'm enjoying that place more and more now. I love the music and I love all the attractions there. I also like the theming to the place though I know most aren't fond of it, I've just always been drawn to that place. Liberty Square is probably a close second to this one.

Day 3-- Favorite Tomorrowland Ride: Space Mountain! I just love, love, LOVE that ride so much! I'm also a big fan of TTA and Carousel of Progress, but Space Mountain was my first rollercoaster and it's the ride I rode the most on my last trip.

Day 4-- Favorite Fantasyland Attraction: Hmmmm... I think I'll go with PhilharMagic like you. Pooh is probably a close second. I just love the 3D attractions and PhilharMagic has to be the most upbeat and just fun out of all them. It's Tough to Be A Bug is still my favorite in that boat of 3D attractions, but I love them all :goodvibes

Glad you got to get out of the house finally! :thumbsup2

Hmmm, I don't know what my favorite Fantasyland attraction would be...I think it's a tie between Philharmagic and Peter Pan's Flight! :)
I love Peter Pan's Flight as well, I have good memories from that ride.

Yay for added nights to your trip! :woohoo: I will admit that you kind of lost me with all of the math, but it sounds like a good deal. And boo to fracturing your foot. I hope it heals quickly!

I agree - Philharmagic is my favorite Fantasyland attraction, too! :goodvibes
I lose myself with the math. :lmao:

I love Philharmagic but we don't always get a chance to see it! We usually start touring in Fantasyland & don't want to take the time to stop for a show that early in the morning so we move on with the intention of coming back. At the end of the day it doesn't always make sense to backtrack just for one attraction. It's definitely on my to do list for November & April! Hopefully we'll get to see it at least once.
It is hard to fit Philharmagic in the morning since there are never really bad lines there. At least at the times I travel to Disney.

Philharmagic is my favorite too. :3dglasses I think it is my favorite attraction in all of MK actually. I love everything about it. And it is DH and DD's favorite too so we really enjoy it together! Now that I think of it, it is probably my 2nd favorite in all of WDW, only behind Soarin'! :thumbsup2
I really love Philharmagic, it is great and brings me such joy to watch it. :goodvibes

Oh Leslie, I am so behind on my dising that I had no idea about your foot. Sure hope it heals well and you are feeling good.

Favorite Fantasyland Attraction: Dumbo! I still love riding it first thing with Jeremy.
I'm feeling better but it's just a frustrating situation to be sure.

I thought I commented a while back on the last updates, but apparently not. :lmao:

You and the blisters! We don't need a rain dance, we need a blister dance, and in this case, we want them to go away. Hope they heal up real fast.

Stupid blisters. I woke up to a new one this morning. I can't get my boot any tighter at this point so I guess it's just something I have to deal with. The good thing is that they don't really hurt too bad when my boot is on.

Glad you finally were able to get outside for some fresh air!

My favorite is Philharmagic too :goodvibes except I always close my eyes when those darn champagne bottle corks come flying at you :rotfl:
I close them at that part too! It makes me jump EVERYTIME even though I know it's coming! :lmao:

:sad2: Sorry to hear about the blisters....that stinks! But it is good to get out of the house for a bit!

I think I'm gonna have to agree with Mickey's Philharmagic for my favourite Fantasyland attraction!:thumbsup2
I love getting out of the house! Even if it is just to Target.

Favorite Fantasyland attraction...I'd have to go with Philharmagic as well! Although I must say it has spoiled other 3D shows for me, when I went to go see HP 7.5 in 3D right after it came out, I kept on expecting to FEEL and smell things!
I don't go see movies in 3D because the glasses really bother me while I'm wearing my glasses. Disney 3D glasses are much better for viewing. :lmao:

I do like Philharmagic, but my favorite in Fantasyland is Peter Pan's Flight. I love the relaxing music and the beautiful views of miniature London.
Peter Pan I like too, it is relaxing and I just love being swept away to Neverland.

So sorry about your fractured foot! Have you tried Body Glide to prevent blisters? Glad you are feeling a little better!

Favorite Fantasyland attraction - Philharmagic for me too! Though Dumbo gives me the most nostalgic/this is WDW feeling.
I'm afraid the bodyglide will make my foot move too much in my boot but I did think about it. I love Dumbo too! Especially when you get to ride at night.

LL - So glad that you are feeling better and that the pain is getting more manageable. Who ever thought Target could be so fun???? :rotfl:

Actually - ME! - Cause the closet Target to my house is over 30 minutes away in either direction!
Oh, it is fun! I live very close to a lot of Targets and I have my favorites. All of them have been turned or are being turned into full grocery sections. It's freaking awesome! :lmao:

I just found your PTR and am loving it! Your trip sounds great so far, and I love how you're trying to have this be a "save money" trip. I'm always trying to find the least expensive way to go to WDW, so it's been interesting reading someone else doing the same.

I usually plan a trip to Disney and then keep adding more and more things until the trip is out of control financially so I vowed that this trip would be different. I really like this way so much better, way less stressful! :lmao:

Hope that foot is feeling better today. :goodvibes

Favorite attraction in Fantasyland? I have an affection for the horsies because of Bella, of course, so I would have to make that number one. I love Peter Pan and Philharmagic, though. Ask me in 2013, and I might say Ariel's ride. :thumbsup2

You really are but I look forward to your answers, they make me smile. :goodvibes

Glad you finally got to see Philharmagic, I think it's the best 3D show in all of Disney.

Favorite Fantasyland ride hmmmm...going to go with Philharmagic!! I love love that 3D show! I could just sit in there all day and watch it, of course then I would miss out on the Haunted Mansion and of course we couldn't have that!!

No, we couldn't have that at all!

It's funny how you didn't like People Mover and now you love it!! :goodvibes Congrats on the free dining for February!!

I hope your doctor appointment went well today.
Update on the appointment coming right up!

I see I have fallen behind so I decided to catch up. Awesome to see you added a few days to your trip! (: Free Dining always makes things better :goodvibes And I'm sorry about your foot, at least it will be off before Disney :thumbsup2

All very good answers and I like your reasons behind them too. I love doing these questions because it's so much fun to see all the different answers from everyone.

Sorry I haven't been around much for actual Disney planning, with my foot I just haven't been in the mood. Plus I'm out of work which means no money coming in at the moment, let's all cross our fingers for AFLAC and a settlement from the place where I fell to come through VERY soon. :headache: Oy to the Vey.

So I went to the doctors yesterday. Turns out instead of one fracture in my foot, I actually have TWO fractures. Lucky me. I'm still in the boot. My doctor cleared me to work for 4 hours a day, instead of my normal 8 hours for the NEXT MONTH. I get that he wants me to heal but financially I am completely freaking out. I know that my short term disability through AFLAC should pick up once the claim is processed but that is going to be at least a few weeks. I also filed a claim through the place where I fell. I have been in touch with their insurance and right now they are doing an investigation to deem if they are liable for my injuries. Hello!? I fell in YOUR pothole in YOUR parking lot. I'm just frustrated with that whole process too. And to top it off my HR department at work is not being understanding at all, they almost make me feel like they think I'm doing this on purpose. Not so. I much rather be at work, making money so I can afford my Disney vacation!

With all this financial uncertainty, changes might be needed to make Disney happen in January. Not really sure. I'm just trying to see what unfolds. I go back to work tomorrow and I'm looking forward to getting back into a routine. Who knew sitting on the couch could be so exhausting?

Don't start stressing yet! Your still over 5 months out. Plenty of time for things to look up! Happy your happy to be going back to work. When I had my appendix out back in May, I was SO bored and miserable not being at work! Weird I know. :confused3

Ooooo... that stinks! :( At least everything is still in the "If" field not in the "They are..." field. And I think that parking lot is definitely liable. To get two fractures, that must've been one big pot hole and there should've been something around it to make sure nobody would go near it. I don't think they need an investigation at all. Hopefully your HR department will understand and hopefully the AFLAC goes through to settle all this. Just don't let it weigh on your mind too much, because you do have awhile until the trip, stay on the positive side of things :thumbsup2
