Counting Our Nuts Like Chip & Dale, a Financially Aware PTR *Update 4/17 Pg 62 *

Anytime you want help renting points, you just let me know. Especially if it means an upgrade in where you stay.

You need to come visit Mass and me of course!! I will give you a grand tour. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I may hold you to that bargain someday! For both point help and the grand tour!:thumbsup2 The road trip may happen next year...it will depend on how many holiday weeks I get (our workplace normally gives one week per year of service after 3 year - which I will have next July. But they are trying to change it so you only get more than 2 weeks after you've been with the company for more than 5 years - confusing and LAME!:headache:) I looked it up on google and from London it's only a 10 hour drive to concord! That's not so bad! Only a couple of hours more than my drive to Indiana and I do that all the time!

I think an extra night at Disney at a bargain price of $77 is definitely a good idea!:goodvibes
My guess for the 3 restaurants - Brown Derby, Boma, and Bluezoo (B is my lucky letter I guess!)

We got a cab last year when we switched resorts and brought our own luggage with us. It was the best decision ever!

As for restaurants, I'll go with Le Chefs, Jiko, and bluezoo.

HI Leslie,
I'm so excited to see you have a PTR!! You do such a great job writing.
I'm off to go back and read all about your upcoming trip!!

Congrats on adding an extra night. I am going with Brown Derby, Jiko and the Wave

California Grill, Yachtsman, and Brown Derby...there are my guesses
Good guesses. I'll update more about the guesses in my next update.

Brown Derby, Narcoossee's, and Wave. No idea what I am basing that on but it is what popped in my head. Congrats on an extra night!!
Yeah, that extra night may not happen depending on flights. I always forget that Saturday is much more expensive to fly.

I'm going to go with Blue Zoo, Narcoossee's, and Brown Derby!!

Yay an added night!! Always fun to extend your trip!!!!! :cool1:
Always fun to make a vacation longer.

Yay for adding an extra day!

Ummm...ok, here are my 3 guesses for where you're eating...Le Cellier, Hollywood Brown Derby, and Artist Point. I have no idea! :rotfl:
Good guesses. I love the idea of adding an extra night, I hope it works out.

Yay for an extra night! We might just be missing you guys at Pop, we leave the 11th.

My three guesses...I'm racking my brains trying to remember where you guys ate before! :rotfl: My guesses are Brown Derby, The Wave, and Le Cellier
BOO! I'm sad we are going to just miss you.:headache:

My guesses are Brown Derby, Boma, and Kouzzina.

Yay for an extra night at Disney! :yay:
Great guesses.

I am guessing Brown Derby, Via Napoli, and the new Mexican restaurant -- only because those would be my top three!

Yeay for adding a night! I think that is a bargain as well! :thumbsup2

I will be interested to see what you decide as far as the dining plan goes...
I love your reasoning for your choices! :rotfl:

Ooo, I'm terrible at these games.

I say Brown Derby...hmm, let me think out of the box...

Dang it, all I can think of is places you've already eaten! Can't you throw a girl a hint? At least narrow it down to a park? Do you know how many restuarants there are in the World? ;)
:rotfl2: You are too funny. I am going to give more clues in my next update.

Excited to follow your PTR!!
Thanks for joining in!

YAY for adding the night but  for the switch...I have pains thinking about our switch from POP 1 night to BLT last Nov....just 2 adults should go way better...we can "chat" more on that...but don't want to freak you out...luggage...luggage....oh dear :sad2: my experience just had to be one of those flukes right?

here are links to our story (you'll have to read thru our arrival and some descripts of BLT and some drama too, but you'll get the gist...):

Part one (arriving POP and the wrong luggage decision by us?):
http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=39138288&postcount=12

Part two (leaving POP and going to BLT):

Part three (where is our luggage?):
http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=39171406&postcount=41

now for the TS choices...I seriously have no clue where and not you have eaten...so I will just guess blindly here...

Narcoossee's (cause we are eating there in Oct), Boma (cause why wouldn't you do a TS at your resort) and Raglan Road (because I'm Irish :rotfl:)
Okay. Phew. I just read about your luggage drama. Oy to the vey. I have had luggage transfers twice from Pop and have had zero problems, even with them arriving on time. I will hope for the same pixie dust for this trip too.

YAY for an extra night!! Take the time (if you already haven't) and physically pick out what entree you are looking at for counter and table services, just so you can do even closer fuzzy disney math. That was always our decision if we were doing the dining plan or not.
Ok..top 3 choices..I am going with Brown Derby for sure, then...California Grill and Jiko
We have been doing that and I think we are going to make out by using the dining plan...I don't know why I have an issue with being restricted as I do like to order appetizers but oh well, I can make do with entrees even if I dont' eat them all.

Okay, here are my guesses:

Brown Derby, Boma and Via Napoli.

:confused3
Good guesses!

:woohoo: for adding a night!

My guesses are Jiko, Via Napoli & California Grill
Woo Hoo is right, let's just hope airfare goes down!

Happy 4th to you, too! :teeth:

Ummm... my guesses are Le Cellier, Boma and California Grill. I haven't read your TRs before or know what you like, but it seemed they would be pretty top notch, if only three.
Well, we have three for sure picked out if we pay OOP. If we do the dining plan we are going to add in two more which are still up in the air somewhat.

Brown Derby, Kouzzina and Blue Zoo
Good guesses.

My restaurant choices are Brown Derby( we have an adr there in Dec. due to your high praise of their cobb salad:goodvibes), Cali Grill, and Don Shula's steakhouse in the swan or dolphin.
You will ADORE Brown Derby. I just love it there. I havent' had a bad meal and I've eaten there SEVEN times. :rotfl2:

Thanks! I may hold you to that bargain someday! For both point help and the grand tour!:thumbsup2 The road trip may happen next year...it will depend on how many holiday weeks I get (our workplace normally gives one week per year of service after 3 year - which I will have next July. Yaya! I hope you do come for a grand tour!!! That stinks about your vacation time, I hope they don't change that. They did that at Marc's old job and he was NOT happy about it.

We got a cab last year when we switched resorts and brought our own luggage with us. It was the best decision ever!

As for restaurants, I'll go with Le Chefs, Jiko, and bluezoo.
We might get a cab we may just take our chances, it depends on park hours and how our touring schedule works out.

HI Leslie,
I'm so excited to see you have a PTR!! You do such a great job writing.

Thank you so much! :goodvibes

Congrats on adding an extra night. I am going with Brown Derby, Jiko and the Wave
Good guesses.

Leslie,

:yay: Yay, you are going back to Disney!!! I am so happy for you. You will  AKL Jambo House. We just got back from there and it was wonderful! So glad you got a Value. Some of those have Savanna views!!!

I am going to guess the following: Brown Derby, Boma, and Via Napoli (not sure of the spelling). We did the dining plan this trip. It worked out well as Jeremy is still considered a child but eats more than that. He was able to eat what I couldn't. However, there was no way I could have eaten all that with the dining plan if it had just been Tom and I. My band really kicked into gear this trip! I ate way less than I ever had at Disney in the past.

You and Marc both look so good. Wow, 250 pounds--what an accomplishment.

Erika

I am 99.9% sure that we are going to go with the dining plan. I think we will save money and at least we will just have to worry about tips for our meals. I like the idea of having that all set and not worrying while I'm trying to order within a budget. I worry too much.

Like I said in my previous post, we are settled on 3 ADRs. The other 2 are still up in the air, as we will have 5 dining credits to use with the dining plan, we are not doing deluxe dining because it's just not worth the money.

All of your guesses were very good as to where we are going to eat, I even have some statistics for you.

*19 people participated in my little guessing game

*Of those 19 people, 15 guessed Brown Derby. I must talk about my love for Brown Derby a lot.

*16 different dining establishments were guessed.

*Out of the 16 dining establishments, I have been to 6 of them, Marc has been to 5 of them.

*Of the 3 ADRs we already have picked out, only ONE was guessed. This specific ADR was guessed by 6 people.

I think it is time for more hints because I don't feel like revealing the answers yet.

Hint #1: All of the ADRs are at Resorts.
Hint #2: All of the ADRs are 1 table service credit on the dining plan.
Hint #3: There are no plans for an ADR at Hollywood Brown Derby.
Hint #4: One of the ADRs can be reached by Monorail.
Hint# 5: One of the ADRs is at a Resort the we have stayed at before.

Okay, those are all the hints/clues that you are going to get!! I love playing these games, they are so much fun for me. I hope they are fun for you.

I know you are all shocked that there are no plans for a Hollywood Brown Derby ADR. Here's the explanation. As much as I love/adore/dream about Brown Derby, I have eaten there 7 times since 2008. I feel like I should try new places. Also, Marc promised me that if I get to Hollywood Studios and have Brown Derby withdrawals we will try to snag a last minute ADR or just walk up. Plus, as much as I love Brown Derby I am not using 2 credits to eat there. I will pay out of pocket. So if we have the extra money, we will go, if not there is always next trip.

Oh and you know what my crazy husband wants to do? Buy DVC. I don't know if he won the lottery and hasn't told me or what but I emailed DVC today as requested, he wants to talk to the guy we had the tour with in September. We shall see what happens with that. I'm letting him go for it if he wants, he took over the finances last month when they were stressing me out(I now act as a personal secretary when we pay bills, he makes the decisions, I sign the checks. Works for me! So he's the boss. ;) :rotfl2: I'm going to let him make the decision and use it to MY advantage. :rolleyes1

Woo Hoo is right, let's just hope airfare goes down!

Did you check JetBlue? We got nonstop round-trip tickets for a little under $200 from them. The flight from Boston to Orlando is at 7 AM but that just means even more Disney time, of course. ;) Fingers crossed you guys can get a good deal, too!

I didn't know some of the Value ones have Savanna views, oh my goodness that makes me so excited.

My band was super tight my last two trips which made for very difficult eating but since then I had a slight unfill and I can eat much better in those types of situations. I think I had too much fill to begin with and it was doing the opposite of what it should have been. I've actually lost more weight with less fill in the last few months! I get very nervous eating out with my band because I worry about being sick or ordering "too little" and that just makes it all worse. I think having the dining plan will be easier on me.

It was Jetblue I was checking, Southwest hasn't released yet. Jetblue's flights weren't over my airfare budget I set for myself but I wanted to pay less. :rotfl2: So we shall see.

Sneaky Sneaky LL!!!

And NO Brown Derby?!?! AHHH!

Ok..I have tried to map it out as quickly as I could during my lunch time. I probably need time to think more and do some statistics in a word document, but I am too anxious and want to get my guesses in beforehand:rotfl2:

I am going with...Boma, Kona Cafe and Whispering Canyon Cafe?

Hello fellow Bay-stater! :flower3:

I just have to say that I read your first post and planned to continue reading your report... but then it happened...

I read your second post - the one about switching from POP to DVC and SAVING money?! :scared1:

I have spent the last hour browsing the boards, computing points calculators, and PM'ing rentees!

Cross your fingers for me - I am hoping for a Studio at OKW for 10/22-29.

Now I can calm down a bit and go back to read the rest of your report... my guess for ADRs are: Chef Mickey or Whispering Canyon?

Hmmmm...Let's see I'm going to have to change a few of my choices I think....I know that Blue Zoo isn't on the dining plan so I'm going to have to change that one....and my other two were 2 credits...LOL guess I have to change them all.

Let's see....Kona, Boma, and Whispering Canyon Cafe (I edited my choice, I know bad me)

I'm in the same boat with you I let Phillip make the big financial decisions. If he had his way we would already be DVC owners I just end up talking him out of it because I'm a big wuss. However now that he has an even better paying job, he says he's buying the first resale contract that fits our needs....and when we say "ours" we mean "mine" LOL!!!

I pick the same three meals as Jen!

Good luck on the DVC. We have loved our trips and want more points, perhaps soon!

It was Jetblue I was checking, Southwest hasn't released yet. Jetblue's flights weren't over my airfare budget I set for myself but I wanted to pay less. :rotfl2: So we shall see.

I think my mom was hoping for less, but then she got really concerned that she wouldn't and just went with them. :rotfl: I really hope you can find a deal!

Hmmm the dining...I don't know anything about dining credits so I'm just gonna guess and hope these are only one each. Boatwrights, Kona Cafe, and WCC.

Oh, I like that you are just letting Marc do this whole DVC plotting thing. :lmao:

Hmmm, you are being difficult with your ADRs. :goodvibes

Okay, next round of guesses...

Kouzzina, the Wave, and Boma
