Counter service near the Yacht Club

Hi all-- my family will be staying at the YC in September. I see that there are no counter service restaurants at the YC or the BC, so I was thinking I'd walk over to the Boardwalk to grab breakfast each morning. Am I right in thinking that a walk from the YC to the Boardwalk would be similar to a walk to the food court at POR from the farthest reaches of the resort (which seems to be where our room is on most stays...)? I like to get out early and pick up breakfast to bring back to the room while my family gets ready. Thanks!

There is counter service with some breakfast items available at the BC marketplace. I've never eaten there, so I can't tell you exactly what they have, but there is something available.

The walk from YC to Boardwalk is about 7 - 10 minutes. Don't know how that compares to the length of the walk at POR.

Oh, good-- I didn't see breakfast items listed on the menu, just sandwiches. That walk sounds like it might compare to POR. Thanks for your help!

i'm not sure what your budget is... but have you considered club level?? you could just walk down the hall to get breakfast :) it also cuts back on beverage and snack costs thru your trip. depending on different deals that are out... it may cancel out the cost of getting breakfast every morning for your family!!

Thanks, that's a great suggestion, but we're on the dining plan, which works pretty well for our family.

awesome :) we like the dining plan along with CL sometimes :) not because we're piggies (well sometimes), but for convenience. if you're on the regular dining plan, you only get one counter and one TS.... so that's normally lunch and dinner---breakfast would be CL. we also drink a LOT of soft drinks and the refillable station is quite a hike away only to be gone by the time we're at the door, lol. plus my fiance likes his beer at night--so between the cost of breakfast, soft drinks and beer.... we came out WAY ahead, lol.

either way you will have a great time!! we love the yacht club!!

The BC marketplace has pretty decent breakfast choices. To me, it wouldn't be worth the walk over to BW although you will still have a bit of a walk to get from YC to the BC marketplace.

Better than YC/BC club level (I've done both).

Another option is grabbing some pastries in MK or Epcot to use for breakfast the following morning.

Thanks! We've stayed a few times at BC, and we're looking forward to giving the YC a try.

You can get bakery items with snack credits at the Boardwalk Bakery. I think they also sell croissant egg sandwiches in the morning. You can refill your mugs there too.

we used snack credits at BWI for breakfast items. We didn't go to BC, not sure why. You can also use snack credits in the YC lobby bar area. They had muffins, fruit, etc. I always made my own coffee and then asked for half and half which they were happy to oblige!

Thank you!
