Skipper Canteen too. That's what I thought. I've been trying to compile a list if restaurants that serve fries chicken. I've come up with 50s Prime Time Cafe and Art Smith's Homecoming.
I am not sure it matters to you but I am major chicken snob and I rank 50's Primetime chicken above HomecomingsThat's what I thought. I've been trying to compile a list if restaurants that serve fries chicken. I've come up with 50s Prime Time Cafe and Art Smith's Homecoming.

Are there any counter service locations that serve friend chicken?

If you want the best counter service Fried Chicken, you need to come out to California and go to either Plaza Inn at Disneyland or Flo's V8 Cafe at DCA......lol
Seriously though, I would love to hear where there is counter service Fried Chicken in Disney World.
Really? Then I would have said something, as it is really good normally, so you must have had an off batch.I thought the fried chicken at Plaza Inn was a bit overrated, given the praise it had been given before we ate there.
It was good, but certainly not "out of this world" as advertised.
Good fried chicken to a southerner like @DisBuckMan is probably different than for a Californian.Really? Then I would have said something, as it is really good normally, so you must have had an off batch.

If that is gas station quality chicken, then what is "better"? Seriously, their chicken is crispy, seasoned well (although I could always go for a bit spicier, but I understand they have to go with a balance) and juicy. Not sure what else you could want, although if it isn't crispy enough for you, then Flo V8's Cafe is pretty much the same recipe, but their chicken is crispier for some reason. If you want spicier, there is the Chicken Shack at Paradise Pier, but these are drumsticks only and has a set side (can't remember what it is right now).Bingo.
It was good, not saying it was bad at all.
But, with the raves Plaza Inn's fried chicken gets here, I was expecting better. It's fairly normal to get fried chicken like that from a deli inside a gas station around here (not a knock...you can get some pretty dang good gas station fried chicken around here).
