Should I pick my counter meals or just go to what ever is near???:confused3

Where is a good place to eat a counter meal at each park???

we usually have specific CS place we like so we'll try to gear towards being around them near meal times...here are out favorite's

Epcot - Tangierine Cafe (Morocco) or Sunshine Seasons
MK - Pecos Bills
AK - Flame Tree BBQ
DHS - Toy Story Pizza Planet

hope it helps!!!

Tangierine Cafe is my favorite favorite favorite!!!!

I decide ahead of time, too. As far as table service goes, we will only be going to Boma and Tusker House, so we'll be getting a lot of counter service meals: Tangierine Cafe (it's my favorite, too, princess tinkerbelle!), Flame Tree or Yak & Yeti, Backlot Express, Studio Catering Co, Columbia Harbor House, Sunshine Seasons, Kringla, Main Street Bakery, Starring Rolls, Cosmic Ray's, and Lottawatta Lodge (Blizzard Beach). Take a look at the menus to see what appeals to you if you feel like planning ahead.

I liked having an option A, B and C. Plans change, hunger doesn't always come on schedule. So I like having a few options in my back pocket so to speak and stopping in the one that's convenient when we're ready to eat.

We've always tried not to plan our CS too much. We may have a place or two in each park we'd like to try. Usually one of those places are fairly close when we start getting hungry. If not, we'll just grab whatever. I think if you get too caught up in eating a certain CS it can mess up your other park planning, it's hard to figure out when you're going to be hungry on schedule.

I don't usually plan in advance which CS place we'll eat at, but I do have favourites in each park. Here they are:
MK - Cosmic Rays
Epcot - Sunshine Seasons
AK - Pizzafari/Flame Tree BBQ
Studios - Pizza Planet

What I did last month for our visit was look at the menus for each place and get an idea of some that I would like to try. Here's where we ate:
MK: Pecos Bills
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons and Electric Umbrella
DHS: the stand by Fantasmic
AK: Pizzafari

I was really happy with our choices--they all had a lot of different foods to pick from so we all could find something we like :) Have fun!

We usually have an idea of where we want to go:

Magic Kingdom -- Columbia Harbour House or Pinocchio Village Haus
Epcot -- Sunshine Seasons
Animal Kingdom -- Flame Tree Barbecue
Hollywood Studios -- we avoid at all costs

I don't neccessarily pick out a "for sure" restaurant, but I do get an idea of places close by and check out the menus to see if it's even something that we would enjoy. Not to mention, you never know if the place that you pick might be too crowded or something like that, so it's better to have other choices and know what else you might like, just in case.

I also don't "plan" CS meals, but know which I like in each park. I also try to eat at off times because CS can be crazy waiting in lines.

MK

Casey's(although have not had the new buns)
Cosmic Ray's (chicken meal...mmmm)
Columbia Harbor House(upstairs is usually very quiet and relaxing)

Epcot
Tangerine Cafe
China(decent take-out)

DS

Slim pickins in my opinion, I usually try not to have a meal, just a snack here. Pizza Planet salad and pizza is just OK.

AK

BBQ place is decent, but gets really crowded

Connears

I would tell you that I only plan our daily TS and make ADR's at 180 days in advance. But when I really thought about our October trip, I did have our CS planned. That said, we were not "wedded" to them. If we were hungry and somewhere else that would have been fine too.
Where we ate CS:
Sommerfest in Germany
French Bakery in France
Peco Bill's in the MK
50's Prime Time Cafe in DHS
Cantina de San Angel in Mexico
Flame Tree Barbeque in AK
Columbia Harbour House in MK
Harry Ramsden's Fish and Chips in the UK
Tangerine Cafe in Morroco.

As you can see we spend a lot of time eating in Epcot. We stay in the Epcot area resorts.
Have a Great Trip

I totally agree with these.
The pizza is actually pretty good with a salad.
Rays for ribs.
Sunshine seasons-anything goes.

We just got back last night and I would have to say that these were our favorites for this trip:

Epcot: Tangierine Cafe, Sunshine Seasons, and Yakitori House
AK: Flame Tree
Studios: Starring Rolls (sandwiches)
MK: Cosmic Ray's

OT - Our 2 table service meals were VERY good, too. I highly recommend Tusker House and Boma.
