And our 2nd day is MNSSHP, so I guess we're out of luck! Maybe next year! I'll have to live vicariously through your pictures!
Great line up, Brooke. We LOVE Cape May for breakfast (it's much more laid back and better character interaction; although CP is still our favorite); we really like Rose & Crown and although Mama Melrose gets hit/miss reviews, we have never had a bad meal here (and our service has always been outstanding).
If you want to help stretch it out, first order a drink, then decide on an appetizer, then finally your meal. If you need to, you could always order a dessert. You should be fine - I think all our ressies at RNC were around 7 or 7:15 and we were always there for Illuminations.
WHAT?!You've NEVER had a Mickey Waffle?
They are truly the best. I love them...the little ones are good, but I like the big ones at AKL best. They are just a pain to try and put any type of butter on!
We'll be hitting Cape May possibly this upcoming trip as well. Hope it's good.
Though, if we share it might be easier. Hmmm...something to think on!
I'm not huge on sweet things for breakfast, unless its yogurt or fruit. But, with the mini Mickeys I know I can enjoy one along with my eggs, bacon, etc. I'm looking forward to trying it - I wonder if I'll be hooked?Ahh... food, glorious food. Definitely an important part of the Disney experience. You've got some great ones planned.
I really liked R&C a lot! Here's a hint- "duchess potatoes" are code for cheesy potatoes!
Can't believe you've never had a mickey waffle! I actually don't like the taste of syrup so my favorite way to eat them is with powdered sugar. BTW- you can get a big one with either sugar or cinnamon in the MK at the Sleepy Hollow refreshments stand.
I'm with you on Via Napoli. Although I'm so bummed there isn't going to be a take-out window. That would have been great. The Disney Food Blog has some photos today if you haven't seen them. They're also reporting on new gourmet hot dogs...
So excited for your trip!!![]()
)Great ADRs. You know how much I love Rose & Crown and I was pleasantly surprised at Mama Melrose's in January. It was very good! Much better than I thought it would be.
Now what again is Yorkshire Pudding? I remember you guys loving it, but can't remember exactly what it is! I was thrilled to read your Mama Melrose review too, knowing it was high on our list of places to try - your review made me suggest it again for this trip!
I love all of the traditions you do with Henry, it is so cute to see how much he has grown. One tradition we try and do every trip to disney is get a pic with our son standing next to the todem pole with humphrey and donald on it at the Wilderness Lodge.![]()
) but I honestly don't recall us getting a picture there.
We do plan to stay at the VWL sometime again, so it will be a must do! What an excellent place to measure them.Me again... more great Via Napoli photos here, if you're interested.
...and the pizza is high quality
We gotta try it!!!Loved all the family traditions. We have a few but haven't ever pulled photos together in one place so you've given me the idea now! We took a series pictures of DD with her first Mickey as she grew and I think I ought to do another one of these sometime soon as well
I've was a bit late getting caught up over here but glad to see a GF tea on your ADRs. We love thisand will definitely do it at some point this trip. We're staying there so I haven't actually made an ADR yet, in the past it's seemed quiet enough to just walk up but actually might get that ADR just in case. Maybe that day is another possible day/venue for a meet?

I'm here, I'm here! The plans looks great and the food looks delicious! Can't wait for more Brook.
Thanks for following me over here!!Brook, the tradition photos of Henry are so cute!!! It's fun to see him from past trips and see how big he is getting. It will be fun to see how big he's gotten on your trip next month!
We head down in less than 2 weeks... think we might melt??I have this crazy idea that a cool wave will hit Orlando and it will not be humid!
Wishful thinking, right??!!
I might have to give your corndogs a try this time... I'll tell them that you'll be with them shortly!
![]()

And thank you for visiting my little Nuggets! I will be there in just a few weeks!!!
Your ADRs sound great!
Hope u have a mahvelous time dahlink. I looove The Boardwalk but will NOT stay there because of that *&&& clown. My granddaughter who knows nothing of Stephen King says no i don't want to stay at the clown place.![]()
I'm not freaked out by the clown, but I do find it strange that Disney chose a clown for that! I get that it goes with the theme, but you'd think they would have something else instead...! I wonder if The Clown has a name...
Wow, you've been an updating fiend the last couple of days!
ADRs look good, and I love the Traditions pictures. My favorite is the last one...I never thought to have a photopass photographer get a picture of me eating in front of the castle!

I'm a bit late to the party but I love your reports and as I'm planning a trip to BWV next year I couldn't miss this one. Sounds great so far.![]()
You are already on page 8!!
I am just here to subscribes, so when I find time to read everything that happened on the DIS during my 10 days away, I will find your PTR! I am so excited that you can go on that trip!!![]()
Take your time though - and I've got links on the first post so you can skip the chatter.Great update BE. Add me to the list of pleasantly surprised Mama Melrose patrons. We really enjoyed our meal there. Looking forward to more.
It is amazing how much Henry has grown! I hope he will be awake for the DISMeets you have lined up, it looks like he has a tendency to sleep during them...

I kind of have a feeling that 2011 might be the year I get to stay there as well...
- I was wondering wether this helped him in being offered the job he has now?I'm here Brook!! Sorry I'm so late!! Going back to catch up! Can't wait to hear all about your September trip!
What great ADRs Brook!! YUMMMY!!! I adore Rose and Crown and can't wait to get back there! I know you guys will love it!
I too will be keeping an eye out on the new restaurant in Italy, the menu sounds so yummy!

which resort are you staying at in St Lucia? We stayed at the Windjammer Landing...we really liked it!
My parents ate at Cape MAy for breakfast our last day! They paid OOP since we were on the dining plan and out of credits! THey said they would not pay for it OOP again but then again it was just the 2 of them and the grandsons were not there with them! We tried to get in for dinner one night but could not until 8pm and that was way too late for both boys to eat. BUt i have heard the buffet is excellent!
Say whaaaaat??? Shouldn't your DIS membership be revoked??You will love the waffles! It's funny how a different shape makes them taste so much better!

I know, I know!!! Hi, my name is Brook and I've never had a Mickey Waffle....or rode the Haunted Mansion.
I plan to fulfill the Mickey Waffle this trip and maybe the HM. It just doesn't appeal to me, but I am afraid I might get kicked off if I don't do it sooner or later.

I can't wait to hear about the Cape May breakfast, because we have a reservation for it in November for the first time.
I have thought about the dessert wishes party, but keep deciding against it. But maybe I should think about it again.
I hope it's a hit. The characters in their beach gear are so cute and I rarely meet a breakfast I don't like.
The view is pretty nice of the fireworks too, not the greatest, but still very nice. And seeing Tink that close is very cool!Cape May is truly a gem, you will enjoy it i think for sure. Plus the walk over is great! It and the O'Hana's breakfast are my probably favorite ever character meals! Loving all these updates and the traditions you have for trips!

Wishes Dessert Party... YUM!!!! I keep drooling over pictures of this in the dining forums. I had wanted to book it for our first MK day, but they weren't offering it that day.And our 2nd day is MNSSHP, so I guess we're out of luck! Maybe next year! I'll have to live vicariously through your pictures!
We are eating at Cape May for the first time too, only for dinner. Really looking forward to that one.
I can't believe you've never had a Mickey waffle!![]()
Love all the traditions pictures- they are so sweet and such a good idea to do. I'd love to do one with the height measuring thingielaughing: I'm so tired that "thingie" is the only word I can think of! Time to go to bed!)
I'll be sure to take lots of pictures again. Last time I started photographing the buffet, then slowly a couple others joined me in doing the same.
about the "thingie" no worries! I know exactly what you are talking about. Measuring gauge? Measuring stick? No idea what it's called. Thingie works for me!Yum, Brook! My stomach is definitely growling now that I have read about your ADRs and seen your pictures! I definitely think you need to try the new Italian place, so we can live vicariously through you!
Joe is gonna be psyched!I'm doing R&C on the 3rd for lunch. Can. Not. Wait! We have several same planned places, in fact. All of them tasty schmasty!
Your trip plans sound wonderful! I loved the pictures of your family traditions! It is amazing how much Henry has grown! I hope he will be awake for the DISMeets you have lined up, it looks like he has a tendency to sleep during them...
your dining plans sound good, too. I think a relaxing breakfast near your hotel is a must during every Disney trip!
And I am really excited that you are going to stay at the BW. I always liked this place and last trip Katharina and I nearly stayed there.I kind of have a feeling that 2011 might be the year I get to stay there as well...
When I read your introduction about Joe getting offered this great job, I remembered that you once wrote in a TR about him taking an exam to become a certified nerd- I was wondering wether this helped him in being offered the job he has now?
That is TRUE about the meets! He was sound asleep during ours too, wasn't he? I remember he wasn't feeling the best that trip, I was a wreck half the time over it. Ahhhh. I'm grateful for him getting older and its easier to handle illness!

Saw that on the Sentinel website this morning. Also, I noticed on the wdwinfo.com home page that ticket and Annual Pass prices are going up TOMORROW (Thursday). So buy today if you need to and can!
Saw that on the Sentinel website this morning.
That sucks.
I'm always interested in technology pics. Especially those involving stage lighting.
Those are natural ones for me or Joe to take!!
Did you see the ones I took for you on my TR at the Candlelight Processional? That was a HUGE rack-o-lights!It always does seem quiet over at the GF Tea Room, when we were there last time it was us and about 3 other tables. I was surprised! It's such a nice event. And it could be a possible venue for the meet! I'll talk to Joe about it and see if he wants it just us, or if he's cool with a meet during that time. I also got your PM, I'm just slow in responding because I haven't been on the computer as much lately - I will!![]()

Indeed I did! Speaking of...Sunday was a Murphy's Law day. We had a projector bulb blow, spotlight bulb blow, and a the mouse on the projection PC died. All before the morning service started. Luckily I had spares and plenty of volunteers to help and we got it all working just as they started the music. But SHEESH I was a nervous wreck. It does suck! I think it's a smaller increase this year over last. But still. Could we get a year without an increase please?!?!?
I don't even need to take note of your request. Those are natural ones for me or Joe to take!!

I really enjoy eating at, or near, the hotel too. Especially a breakfast. Roll outta bed and go eat.![]()

I hope we enjoy the BWV! It gets great reviews, so I think we will. Being so close to Epcot and DHS will be a great bonus. Are you planning on January 2011 again?

YES! The Certified Nerd is EXACTLY what got him this job! I forgot I shared about that!!! It really is! Because he is certified in VMWare, and has 5 years experience, he was heads above all the other applicants!! He actually had two companies competing for him because of his Nerd-ness. You have such a good memory!![]()
Wasn't it just the day before you left for your trip or so? My father is an engineer and he always claims that the most important thing is continuing your education to stay up to date! So it looks like all the effort that Jooe had to put into his exam really paid off. How impressive that he was regarded such a valuable employee!! That was a HUGE rack-o-lights!
I had the SAME thought and heard "Tracts of Land" in my mind.
I know you'll probably be taking them anyway, but they'd sure be nice to see!
