Countdown to 200,000 DIS Members

I look for 200,000 to be reached sometime the morning of 12/6/08. At this point, the time of day is too variable to state.

The number of new members per day seems to be holding around 80 or so and at this point, I've milked this thread way beyond good sense. So unless the numbers drastically change between now and Friday, it is time to kiss this thread goodnight.

And only 4 days off from your original prediction.

That's pretty good, though, and you can use these results to update your algorithm so your 300,000 mark estimation is that much more accurate!

My original estimate was based on 119 per day. That was what I observed over a one day period. I was afraid someone would notice my first estimate was wrong. Thanks Mindy. I need humbling on occasion. Just ask DW.

I was standing outside the Rose and Crown when the DISboards.com turned 200,000. (Didn't see (or hear) Pete while I was in EPCOT - boy is he lucky.)

EPCOT at lunch time didn't seem very packed but . . . there was a line for the Tomorrowland Transportation Authority tonight. I don't get to the MK THAT often but I've never seen a line at TTA. The only "line" I've ever seen is between the people who walk up the moving incline and those who don't.

This morning's parade taping at MK, I was told by a CM, went from 9 to 1. Some worries about early morning mist turning to rain didn't materialize and it was gorgeous all afternoon. A little rain tonight - not enough to dampen spirits. That Cyrus girl was at the Castle stage this afternoon taping a spot for the Christmas show. I heard them working up the crowd - "be excited no matter how many times you hear it" (or something like that).

The castle-lighting made any grumblings about sore feet and large crowds melt away. Wow. When Disney does something right, they do it right.
