2 weeks from today we will heading towards Disney!!!!!! I am so excited!!!!

We are leaving our house (Houston) on July 30 and will start driving home on August 16th ....

This will be my 2 1/2 years DD first trip and we are meeting my brother-in-law, sister-in-law, & their 5 year son at Disney. None of them have ever been before either!

4 weeks from today we will be at WDW watching the Electric Light Parade! :cool1: Hopefully they will show it two times that night, then we can sleep in the next day at the Swan! :cool2:

22 days and counting down fast.:hourglass Am I the only one that is upset with how fast time comes and goes. This time next month we will already be home from our Disney vacation. Disney is like Christmas morning, we wait and wait and wait, and then blink and its over. What gets me through is I know like Christmas we will be back next year. But, unlike Christmas, I always hope we will go more than once each year:rolleyes1. I am so excited that I have started to get our stuff together to pack.party:

Just 16 days to go. I'm the designated 'travel agent' for my group since I've got more visits under my belt than any of them. I've been able to occupy myself with making all of our arrangements so that helps.

All of our plans are made, ADR's done, list for Garden grocer is finished and will be placing that order probably today. Nothing left to do but pack and wait...and wait...and wait..... The next 2 weeks will go interminably s.l.o.w.l.y and then our trip will be over in the blink of an eye. I always promise myself that I'll be concious of time when I'm at the World, but somehow it ends up like we're in a time warp on fast forward and before I know it, we're home wondering how it flew by so quickly.

Just a bit off topic, but we (party of 4) have an illuminations cruise booked for 8/10 and have room for up to six if anyone would like share the cruise with us.

Why do we do that to ourselves??? :confused3 I find myself while on vacation counting how many days left and trying to convince myself that the time is NOT flying by.

I am happy we are driving there and back, makes the trip longer, in a sense.

See!!! I'm doing it again!:rotfl:

Then I even have days off when we return. I always say I need time off after a disney vacation to catch up.

This is really the only part that bothers me about when I planned our trip... I have ONE DAY to recoop after we return, then I go back to work after being off for the whole summer. :upsidedow

I'm thinking from what I read on your PTR, that at least it's to get your classroom set up, right?

This will be the first vacation that I have almost a week off still. I didn't take any time off this year due to my school schedule. I am back in school to finish. (special education/CI) I have had a licensed day care in my home for almost 13 years. I think that I should get my degree on that alone!:rotfl:

That's awesome! I have my degree in Psychology (grad school in School Psych), and certifications in Special Ed, High School Math, and High School English.

Yes, we have one week of "Pre-planning" which means time to attend meetings and set the room up/ write lesson plans, etc... Since I just got my assignment via mail (same as last year... math AND English again, uhg.), pre-planning week will be...well... less than magical. At least I'll still be fresh off a Disney-high! :rotfl2: I'll just walk around waving my pixie dust wand and skipping!:wizard:

Is that like squeezing your eyes really tight and marching in place really fast while your fists are clenched and your arms are moving up and down kind of dance, or is it cabbage patch-ish kind of dance?:woohoo:

Please explain in detail?

Oh honey....It involves turning on something like "Boom Boom Pow," "Tick Tock," "Party in the USA," or let's face it..."Single Ladies" and dropping booty like it's hot. I'm sure you can picture it. :jumping2:

Hey you all should go and read SCOTT MC'S trip report. They are a funny bunch of peeps! The link is in his siggy.

Thanks for the plug and I'm sorry it's taken so long to reply! I'm going to make it a point to read through your TRs and PTRs in the coming weeks!
