Could we be any hotter??? Our JUNE Trip Report (Pics, Pics, Pics!)

Lastly- can you put an update in your first post as to the page # that the following instalments are in? I have been looking for 10 minutes to find your updated pics Thanks!!!!!!
I put links in my TR Rags...but you know that because you are reading it, right?

Hi Courtney! Joining in your TR fun with a few comments/observations....

1. How cute are you and Ryan?! You have the BEST Photopass pix I've ever seen.
2. Hot?? Really hot?? Are you sure? Because I never look that put together after a really hot day in the parks (of course I'm chasing after 2 toddlers and I'm not 25 - almost 26 - anymore. Maybe that's it.... :scratchin )
3. And my last comment....Geaux Gators!!! OOPS! I mean GO Gators!! ;)

Great reporting!:thumbsup2

That right, since someone didn't take the time to meet with us :snooty:

awww..... just remember, just because SOME of us didn't get to meet, doesn't mean we didn't WANT to..... :sad2:

Can't tell you how BUMMED I was (actually, Dana was, too) that we didn't get to Epcot in time Saturday night. :sad1: (who knew Mass would last over 1 1/2 hours?! :rolleyes1 That priest, God bless his heart, gave TWO sermons!)

Renée

Hey Courtney! This is my first day back at work, and I've spent all morning reading trip reports! I'm really enjoying yours but I have to admit, seeing all the pics from WDW is making me a bit depressed. :sad1:

I know- at least you tried, where Courtney just REFUSED to go to Epcot, she had to go dancing with Ryan :rolleyes1

Subscribing!!! I'm on pg. 11 but I will be back soon to catch up!! Lovin it so far. By the way Courtney I'm a born and bred Texan but my hubbie and both of our kids were born in La. I've finally pulled them into Tx:laughing: but we're only 2hrs from the border so we go back quite often.
P.S>My moms maiden name is Desormeoux.

I found your TR a couple days ago and have now read through the whole thing!

1. Love your writing style - you write like you're talking to a friend - so much fun to read!
2. You and Ryan are adorable! :) You're like Barbie and Ken, only better looking and with better hair!
3. Maddie is beyond cute - my cat would kill me in my sleep if I made her clothes:rotfl2:
4. I'm jealous of all of your cute pictures - DBF hates pictures so I only have a handful of us over the past couple years :(
5. Can't wait for more! TRs like this just get me more and more excited for my trip - and I HAVE to find a pair of Tigger ears - I had no idea they made them :)

Courtney,

Hello from a fellow Tiger Fan! My husband works for LSU too! I have loved reading your trip report. Your husband and you take the most gorgeous pictures. It makes me remember my honeymoon at Disney when we could visit all the countries. Three kids later, we are stopping only for the Mexico and Norway rides. If you don't mind me asking, where do you teach dance? My six year old loves to dance. And you look and sound like you would be a fun teacher to take dance from.:goodvibes

Courtney, I loved this chapter! It looks like you had so much fun in Epcot. Your pictures have got me really looking forward to World Showcase--can't wait!

Keep up the good work!
Denise

Hi Denise! World Showcase is SO much fun! I hated it as a kid, but now I totally LOVE it! You're going to love it!

Oh, I wish I was there right now! I was listening to the Disney Magic on live365 while I was reading the posts today and looking at everyone's pictures, and I'm having a hard time waiting til December!!

I guess I'll just have to keep living vicariously through your TRs!! It's like an addiction!!

"Hi, my name is Amy, and I'm addicted to reading Trip Reports..."
Hi Amy--- Glad you're at least addicted to mine!!!! hahaha! I always love reading TRs... It's so fun! Glad you're here!

Love the report so far. Pics are great. I leave in 1 week and this makes me so excited.
Also, the house is BEAUTIFUL.
Congrats on the house and on the wonderful trip so far.

Hi Scott! Thanks for reading and posting! I can't believe you leave in ONE WEEK!!!! Oh my goodness, you are going to have SO MUCH FUN!!!! Thanks so much for your comments!

Hey Courtney! I just got all caught up. I'm LOVING the trip report! I know it's already been said a billion times, but you and Ryan are too cute together! I love your take on the restaurants, finding different places to eat is also one of my family's favorite parts of a trip. Keep the updates coming!
Hi Melissa! Glad you got caught up--- I hope to post more this afternoon, so you'll have to get re-caught up after that! Thank you so much for reading -- I'm so glad you are enjoying the report! Thanks for your nice comments!

What a fun installment! I didn't even know there was a ride in Mexico. We did see Donald and one other character when we were in EPCOT on the 23rd. The guy in red was not there.

SOOooo glad you are OK after the accident. I had a tree fall on my car this winter (yes I was in it driving very slowly down our street after an ice storm). Even when it isn't your fault, it shakes you up. It sounds like they can repair your trusty auto. After I walked away from the accident and my car was totaled, I got another trailblazer. I figured I owed the brand my loyalty since it kept me safe!

Can't wait for AK. We didn't go there on our last trip so I'm relying on you and Ryan for my fix. BTW, he's really good at the stretch the left arm and take a great photo :thumbsup2

Thanks so much!!! Yes, the ride in Mexico is SO fun! We missed you in Epcot by one day! We were there the 22nd!

That's so horrible about the tree falling on your car--- WHILE YOU WERE IN IT! That's so scary-- I'm so glad you are okay-- that could have been so bad... I have a trailblazer too and I LOVE it! Seriously, I love my car... I am so ready to get it back.. And, it held up AMAZING after this wreck-- I love it even more now!

Ohhhh, I'm so glad you're looking forward to the AK installment... That's the one coming up today... And I'll tell Ryan you think his arm/picture technique is great!

OK- as long have you have done it once ;)

I did Circle of Life for the first time this trip also, while I did like the show, it was kind of depressing

Also- have you tried asking people to take your picture? Most people are more than willing too :-)

Lastly- can you put an update in your first post as to the page # that the following instalments are in? I have been looking for 10 minutes to find your updated pics Thanks!!!!!!
Hey Rags...
1. Circle of Life was a little depressing, but it was still cute... I like The Lion King, so those characters made it a little less dreary.
2. Actually, a few people saw us struggling with the arm/picture technique and offered to take our picture =) We didn't go ask people b/c we knew we'd have so many photopass pictures, so we would end up with plenty anyway... I'm waiting to see some of you and Scilla's pictures!
3. Yes, I can. I'm sorry that you've been searching all of the posts to find the pictures... Let me work on that today... Good idea.

I am lovin' your report! Sorry I am so behind. 4th festivities have got me behind on my reading. Have a great day!

Hey CK! I hope you had a great 4th... We didn't do too much here... Just some stuff around the house. I cleaned, and Ryan did the flowerbeds... I can't wait till it's lookin' exactly how we want it! Glad you're here reading!

Hey there! Thanks for reading!
1. Thank you so much! So nice of you! Poor Ryan's cheeks hurt after all of these pictures I made him take! But, at least some came out good b/c that made it worth it =)
2. Really hot, I promise! And I wasn't chasing toddlers--- Just chasing Ryan... I videoed a lot of the trip and it's all of Ryan's backside (not so bad, huh??) b/c he was racing through the parks!
3. Tiger Bait, Tiger Bait, Tiger Bait.... Have you heard that before? Hehehehe.... You should come to BR on 10/6 for the game... SO FUN, and I promise those crazy folks in purple and gold will be screaming that at all of the orange and blue they see =) I have to admit, I love the SEC! We have such a great, friendly rivalry, but it's SO fun!!!!!
4. So glad you are here reading along! Thanks so much!!!!

Great trip report!:thumbsup2

Congrats on your gorgeous home!
Excited to read more!

Thanks so much! I'm so glad you're following along! It's good to have you here!

You both are so adorable. YOu did a great job on your report.

Thanks so much!!!! I really am just typing it exactly as I remember it... Thank goodness my memory hasn't failed me yet!

Hey Courtney! This is my first day back at work, and I've spent all morning reading trip reports! I'm really enjoying yours but I have to admit, seeing all the pics from WDW is making me a bit depressed. :sad1:

Hey Brittany! Glad you came on over! Sounds like you've gotten a lot done at work today, huh??? Hehehehe! I'm so glad you are reading along! I wish I could have met you-- Hope you had a fabulous trip!

I love the great state of Texas! My inlaws live in Dallas, and we go visit 2-3 times a year.... Love your mom's good 'ole La name! Thanks so much for reading!!! I'm glad you're here!

I found your TR a couple days ago and have now read through the whole thing!

1. Love your writing style - you write like you're talking to a friend - so much fun to read!

I'm so glad you're not lurking anymore! It's my goal to get everyone who reads this to post... Lurking is no fun! You make so many friends when you start posting! I'm so glad you're here!
1. I literally type exactly as I would talk... So, even though the words don't officially give you the full accent (right, DM), the words are exactly as I would speak them! And yall all are my DIS friends, so I am talking to friends!
2. Thank you so much!!!! I loved Barbie growing up, so that's such a great complement!!!!
3. Maddie is so rotten =) She now has her own closet in our house!
4. Ryan isn't fond of pictures either, but I love them so much that he has grown accustomed to it. I keep my camera in my purse... And it's not unlike me for us to be driving around town and me to pull out my camera to take a picture of us! Girl- Just keep taking pictures, eventually, he'll get used to it!
5. I love my Tigger ears! I wore them nearly every day last year, but only once this year... It helps keep all of my hair from getting in my face!
Thanks so much for reading!

Yes DM, of course I'm reading your trip report- you're the best!;)
Whatever!!!!! Rags-- How could you take sides on this???? Haven't you learned that you never take sides when women are disagreeing??? Scilla will teach you that very soon.... =)
Oooh! Thanks Rags! See Courtney? I'm the best...:cloud9:
Double Whatever!
That right, since someone didn't take the time to meet with us :snooty:
Triple Whatever! If you have read my TR, you will see that my ADRs have been made for quite some time and they were already set before yall decided to meet--- I think yall strategically scheduled it at a time that I couldn't go just so you could "rag" me about it later =)
awww..... just remember, just because SOME of us didn't get to meet, doesn't mean we didn't WANT to..... :sad2:

Can't tell you how BUMMED I was (actually, Dana was, too) that we didn't get to Epcot in time Saturday night. :sad1: (who knew Mass would last over 1 1/2 hours?! :rolleyes1 That priest, God bless his heart, gave TWO sermons!)

Renée
See, at least Renee understands! Just b/c I didn't meet yall, it wasn't b/c I didn't want to... Plus, I tried to stalk you that morning at MK and you were no where to be found!
I know- at least you tried, where Courtney just REFUSED to go to Epcot, she had to go dancing with Ryan :rolleyes1
Quadroople Whatever! As you will see in my next installment, it was not what was expected...

It's okay Court, remember I didn't get to any of the meets either. I only saw you and Laura so I understand.

Alright gang! Hope you all had a WONDERFUL and safe July 4th!

So… Back to Disney, right?

When we got back to POP, we showered up and jumped in bed! We needed a lot of sleep because we still hadn’t had a full night sleep without S.F. waking us up, and since we’d arrived, we’d been RUNNING around non-stop!

Put the earplugs in and fell asleep. If my memory serves me correctly, S.F. didn’t wake us up tonight. Yay, right! Yes, Yay! First night of restful sleep! We sure needed it!

The alarm woke us up today at 6am. Ryan stayed in bed for about 30 more minutes while I started getting ready… It takes me a lot longer than him… He got up in just enough time to get dressed, and head to the POP food court for that plain bagel. He ate his ½, while I stole the other ½ from him and we headed to the bus stop. Today was our Animal Kingdom day. And tonight was our Pleasure Island/Downtown Disney night.

We got to Animal Kingdom about 45-minutes early and picked a turnstile the didn’t yet have a line. Once again, they let us in the park about 15-minutes early. This morning was an extra early hour --- we were ready to hit Expedition Everest first and ride several times before the crowds picked up! After we were allowed in the park, we were stopped by yet another rope =( We stood all the way to the right side toward Asia. We caught the welcoming ceremony which was really cute, took a few pictures, then we were OFF TO EVEREST!
CIMG0820.jpg

Yes, Minnie- I have my sunscreen, camera (OF COURSE!) and guidemap, now, LET’S GEAUX!

The CMs leading us to EE wouldn’t let us run (what?? We don’t know what to do when we can’t run! We’ve had to run everywhere so far!)… We approached, I got our fastpasses, we jumped in line and rode… TWICE. Front row every time—it’s the BEST. You’ve got to get front row- it’s awesome! You get sights like this:
CIMG0845.jpg

CIMG0853.jpg

CIMG0846.jpg

And while we were waiting in line, for the SECOND time!
CIMG0823-1.jpg

And on the ride:
CIMG0828.jpg

After EE, we headed on over to DinoLand USA. We rode Primeval While—I love that ride! We also rode Dinosaur. The poor girl riding next to us was so cute… She was at the park all by herself (we figured this b/c we passed her several times throughout the day alone—with just her map). After the ride was over, I asked her if she liked it. She said,
“oh, no— it was far too frightening.”

I thought that was so cute…
CIMG0864.jpg

While in DinoLand, I had a great time driving the car with my dinosaur friends….

CIMG0858.jpg

CIMG0859.jpg

CIMG0860.jpg

By this time, our EE fastpasses were due, so we headed back over for yet another ride. While there, we grabbed another set of fastpasses for EE for a few hours later. YES!!!! WE love that ride!
CIMG0879.jpg

image95.jpg

We then decided to head over to It’s a Bugs Life.

Side note:
Last year, for us, was the year of a million dreams. It seems like every time we were in line for something, the CM at the front of the line yelled, “Party of 2. Are there any parties of 2?” And Ryan and I raised our hands and got to skip the line. Just everything went perfect. (PS- for those inquiring minds- No, we didn’t get a single thing this year related to the Year of a Million Dreams theme… Nothing. Not a thing.) And so many times last year, Ryan got chosen as the person who got to wear the red necklace--- you hand it to the CM at the front of the line and they scan it. That’s how they determine the ride times. And once, only once this trip, did he get selected to do this. So, I had to take a picture. It occurred as we were walking into Bug’s Life.
End of side note.

CIMG0837.jpg

Along the way, we stopped for some pictures.
“Hey, Ryan. Can you take a picture of me holding this elephant’s legs?”
“Sure Court”
CIMG0839-1.jpg

I go and look at the picture (what in the heck did we do before digital cameras????!!!!)

“Um, Ryan… You can’t tell it’s an elephant. Why don’t you zoom out some????”
“Okay”
CIMG0840-1.jpg

And I had to kiss this cute little monkey/gorilla/ape/orangutan/whatever he was!
CIMG0841-1.jpg

And with our glasses…
CIMG0842-1.jpg

Bug’s Life was cute, adorable, as always. We always enjoy that one!

At that point, we wanted to head over to get a fastpass for the Safari. We had to get pictures in front of the Tree of Life while we were there!

CIMG0832.jpg

image86.jpg

image84.jpg

image91.jpg

image103.jpg

As Ryan and I are walking, I hear in the most petite voice ever,

“Courtney??”

I look up, and it’s none other than SINGINGMOM!!!!! OMGoodness- I got so excited! Boy am I glad I posted pictures on our stalking thread b/c she recognized Ryan and I exactly!!!! And she was the sweetest lady… So petite in stature and in speech… I loved her! She said that she had just gone to the safari to get a FP and her husband and daughter were on EE currently. We chatted for a minute, and left knowing we’d see each other in tomorrow night—for our 9pm ToT ride in MGM.

CIMG0835-1.jpg

Ryan and I headed on over to the safari and got a FP for later.

We then, headed back to EE to use that fastpass… And then back to the safari to use the safari one…

CIMG0868.jpg

I know, back and forth, back and forth. But it worked for us.

Along the way, we caught up with Devine… She was beautiful and moved so gracefully…

CIMG0875.jpg

One other thing that I wanted to do was the Finding Nemo musical. We got in line as they were loading us into the theater, and luckily we made the cutoff before they closed the line. When we entered the building, we couldn’t find seats. I innocently asked a CM who was working where we could sit, and do you know what???? They put us in the VIP section… That stands for “Very Important Person”… which means that our seats were GREAT!!!!!

And so was the show. Those actors are amazing. They are so talented and you can really see that from this production. It was so entertaining, and really fun to watch. You do need to know the story line before you go in (we watched the movie two nights before we left), so that you can follow along. It was WELL worth the wait in line… in the sun… outside… in the heat… sweating. WELL worth it!

If you’ve been following along, we’ve ridden all of these great rides, seen great things… and still HAVEN’T EATEN. My husband was about to collapse from hunger, so I figured it was best for our relationship for us to get a bite to eat… Where else but TUSKER HOUSE. Man that place is good.

We both got the rotisserie chicken plates with carrot cake. Yummo. We ate so much. It was wonderful, and a great “pick me up” to the middle of our day.

Even the food, however, couldn’t get us the rest we needed to get through the rest of the day. At that point, we decided to head back to POP for a nap, a swim, and a change of clothes for our night at DTD and PI.

As we left, I had to “have a wild time” as the sign said…

CIMG0880-1.jpg

And we went to wait for the bus for POP. For the past two years, this wait (from AK to POP) for the bus has been the longest… About 20 minutes. We had to entertain ourselves.

SMILE…
CIMG0881-1.jpg

STICK OUT YOUR TOUNGE…
CIMG0883.jpg

GET EXCITED…
CIMG0884.jpg

GET SURPRISED…
CIMG0885.jpg

GET SAD…
CIMG0886.jpg

SMILE AS HARD AS YOU CAN…
CIMG0887.jpg

And with that, the POP bus arrived, and we were off for a nap, and a swim…

Up next- Downtown Disney, Raglan Road and Pleasure Island…
