You're too funny. It's only funny when I make fun of myself. Not when others make fun of me!
And if I said it once, I've said it a million times....I most certain do NOT have an accent!
The boys went with my parents to my brother's home and Rob took Brookie up to the fire station. So, I'm alone for a short time. What better than to DIS?
Glad you got a little alone time with you and The DIS last night! So fun, right???
And PS- You do have an accent... I love it though!
Wow. What a great TR. And the pics are wonderful too!!!
I had to laugh when I read about your neighbors at POP. I think they also stayed with us at BCV. They seemed to come back to their room around 3AM and start slamming doors and talking loud in the hallways, etc. I'm assuming that they used the EMH at MK (opened until 2AM some nights).
I wish that I'd returned the favor when we left at 7AM to get to the parks, but that's not being 'Disney.'
We had dinner at Coral Reef back in June 2002 and loved the view. We even got to see Scuba Mickey in the tank. He had been performing for a business group and stopped by to wave to all of the patrons in the restaurant. He even did a back flip. Made it worth the visit. I agree with you about the food though.
Thanks so much! I SO wanted to return the favor to the S.F. on those 6am mornings!!!! But I didn't want to stoop down to their level and be as rude as they were to us.... But, man did I want to!
I wish I would have seen Scuba Mickey in the tank! How cool is that??? Awesome!
Okay I'm so glad I found this trip report! You are an awesome writer and I love the pics! I can't wait to try the Wishes cruise for the first time this trip, so that part made me excited!
I'm so glad you found my TR too!!! Thanks so much for reading! I'm really glad you're here, and you are going to LOVE the Wishes cruise!
Dana's "Restaurant Request" for the trip was Rose & Crown so that she could have "REAL FISH & CHIPS"... she loved them and didn't find them greasy, but geesh - how BIG was that FISH?!
(didn't get a photo of the fish, but here is the "REAL SCONE & CLOTTED CREAM"!.... capitals on purpose to note Dana's excitement. LOL)
oh.. and Side Note: I'm thinking when we move to Florida and Bob works at "Bwana Bob's", I can be one of those characters. You
KNOW I'd fit in one of those costumes...... End of side note....
Renée
Okay my friend Renee-
1. I love Dana! She looks SO happy with that "Real Scone & Clotted Cream" I have no idea what that even is, but she looks excited to have it! She's so cute!
2. I love that you used the side note.
3. You totally could be one of those teensy weensy characters! And how fun would that be????
Courtney, Glad you are ok. I hit a parked car pulling out of my drive way today!

My neighbors across the street always park directly at the end of my driveway! Well, today the young girls friend parked their, and when I came down the hill from my driveway, I did not see her little car sitting right at the end of it!

DH will never let me hear the end of this one.
Test track picture- I was wondering "where is the perterbilt hat?"
I thought you got lucky and it flew off! And is that Ernie Irwin sitting next to Ryan?
Oh no!!! So sad that you hit a car! At least it was parked, and not coming at you with some speed! But, what a bummer! =(
And that old peterbilt is on his head-- just turned backwards in the pic... Too bad it didn't fly off, huh???
Hi Courtney

count me in as another faithful follower.

Im Loving you TR!

I just started reading it tonight. Your house is beautiful! I love great houses-just my thing. You and your hubby are sooo sweet! Looking at all your gorgeous pics makes me miss those special times we (Me and my DH) used to have before we had our 2 great boys!
Cant wait to read more! Love all the pictures and your lil Maddie is absolutely adorable!
Yay! So glad you're here! Such nice comments you wrote! I just love hearing those-- it really gives me the motivation to keep going, and also realize how blessed I am with such a wonderful husband, a beautiful house, and a sweet little puppy dog!!! Thanks so much for reading!
Happy 4th to you Courtney!!! Another great entry and you got some really great pics.
Happy 4th to you too Lisa!!!! I hope to have another entry up tomorrow!
I'm so glad that you're okay from your wreck! And...great pics!!! I think WDW is one of the only places I have ever sweat in my entire life! But, everyone else is too...
Thank you-- I'm glad the wreck wasn't worse that it was! I was really lucky! I agree--- even though I'm used to the heat and humidity, I really don't sweat that that much... But in WDW, man, I carry the baby powder around to freshen up throughout the day--- It's HOT! Especially in June! You're right though- at least we're not the only ones sweating!
Hi Courtney,
I loved the pictures you posted from around World Showcase. The 3 caballeros are some of my favorite, my little brother watched their cartoon over and over when he was a kid and it just kind of grew on me hope I get to see them there.
Sorry about your accident, I'm glad you are ok. I had a wall jump out infront of me a few years ago, totaled my suv and I got a ticket. CHA!
Looking forward to more of your TR.
You probably will see the 3 caballeros there--- They come out about once an hour... We saw them on three different occasions... And the "handler" had closed off the line twice... Then the third time we saw them, I jumped in line so quick so we were sure to get a picture!
So horrible about that wall jumping out! And to have totaled your SUV, it must have been pretty bad.... Glad you're okay!
That stinks about your car! We have ADR at Coral Reef and I hope we get a tank table too. Another great installment, did you take notes while you were there? I want to write a TR when I get back but am not sure how to do it. Did you write it in word and add the photobucket links there or did you add the links after you transfered into the DIS?
I didn't take any notes b/c I wasn't even planning on doing a TR.... It was once I came home that I decided to do one. But, while looking at my pictures, it helped bring back memories of what we did... And I also look at the park maps to help jog my memory too...
When I write my installments, I actually write it in an email to myself. After I'm done, I add in the photobucket links, and then I copy/paste to the DIS.
I've heard horror stories about people writing long installments directly to the DIS and the DIS going down or something and all of their work gets lost ...
Girls, girls, girls stop fighting over me
So pleased you're OK Courtney and for the record I do like you
I'm not offended at all about the fish comment we've never eaten in the UK as we think it's a bit daft, maybe this year. So how do you get front row Soarin seats do you just ask and wait? Oh yeah also exactly how many photos did you take?
Tell her Jo! See, DM-- she does like me!
Yes, when you get in Soarin' (the section where they place you in rows), just ask for the front row... Tell them that you'll wait if you need to, but you'd like the front row. They never have a problem letting us step aside (on any ride) to wait for the front.
And, I have no idea how many pictures we took--- a lot. =)
You two are just two stinkin' cute! I love all your world showcase pictures. And the pictures on the TT made me laugh...
Happy 4th!
Thanks so much!!!! Happy 4th to you too!!!!
Thanks so much! Thanks for reading!
Yayyyy, I love your trip report!! So much fun! Love your shiny brown hair, too!!
I came to the DIS boards tonight to finish off my trip report, and instead, I got distracted by yours!! Whoops! I just spent about two hours reading the whole thing!
My DF and I are heading to Hawaii for our honeymoon too! Any tips!?
Anyway, thanks for such a fun report so far!! Can't wait for more!
Yay!!!! I'm so glad you're here reading! I'll have to check out your TR! Glad you found mine! Congrats on the wedding... How soon is it? What island are you going to in Hawaii?
I've actually never been on Living with the Land! So, now after reading that you & your hubby love it so much, it's a definate next time I'm in Epcot!
Can't wait to read more!
Girl, you gotta go on it... Now, don't expect too much- its definitely not a thrill ride! But, we love it b/c it's peaceful, and it's in the a/c!
Subscribing!! I'm totally loving your TR! Y'all are way too cute! And there is no way you were *that* hot because you look totally flawless!! You must share all your hot weather makeup secrets!! lol
So glad you're here reading! I really don't have many hot weather secrets... Really the only thing I can think of is I don't wear base (too thick, and maybe that makes faces sweat more).. and I wear waterproof mascara on my bottom lases... that helps b/c it doesn't rub black all over your eyes...
Great report so far Courtney. Thanks for all the pics. Makes me feel like I am there. Just about two months and two weeks left for us and free dining at the POFQ (a clean and crime-free version of the French Quarter) and the Wilderness Lodge. Can hardly wait.
We are trying Raglan Road for the first time this trip. I've heard nothing but positive feedback so far. Also love 50's.
I live just outside New Orleans and am a huge Tiger and Saints fan. We gotta represent!
I know its hard but you should try to go sometime when its cooler. The weather in Nov and Feb have always been really nice and no lines. Just like in South LA the heat and humidity in Fla really takes a lot out of you.
Looking forward to the rest.
Hey!
1. Can't believe your trip is so soon! It's going to fly by, these next two months! And free dining-- that's going to be AWESOME!!!! Even when I pay for the dining plan, I still feel like I'm getting such a deal... To get it free would be incredible!
2. Raglan Road-- Oh so yummy! I'll be doing the mini-review of that in tomorrow's installment... And 50's! Yummo!
3. GEAUX TIGERS; GEAUX SAINTS!
4. I agree about going in Nov and Feb... When I danced for LSU (I was a Tiger Girl), we went to nationals in WDW in January... I think we rode RnR Coaster 12 times in a ROW! In a ROW! 12... Yes, 12. It was so so so fun! No lines, cool weather- it was AWESOME... Now with work and everything, it's so hard to get away any other time but the summer... But I agree, it's so much more bearable at other times of the year!
OK, it took awhile but I finally made it through all 16 pages!!!
First, what a cute family! You and Ryan are adorable together!! LOVE all the pictures, too!
Second, your home is to die for!! Yes, sweetie, THAT is a dream house! And kudos to you for holding together everything that went on in June! (I danced for MANY years - recitals are stressful!)
Third, are you guys REALLY stalking each other? I have to go find that thread about DISers stalking DISers. I never read it, but apparently there's stuff goin' on over there....
Your TR is great, and I'm so glad you had such a fun time! Except your hotel neighbors - not so cool. Good thing they were only your neighbors on vacation!! Sounds like you handled it well, and took it in stride. Must be that southern charm.....
And finally, congratulations on running through 2 terminals in ATL to catch a flight!! Good move on calling Delta to find out your flight times, too. You probably wouldn't have made your connecting flight if you didn't know exactly where you were going when you got off the plane in ATL!
Wow! Thank you so much for posting!
1. Thank you so much... Ryan's a cutie, that's for sure =) Gotta love him!
2. Thank you, thank you, thank you... June was a blur. So much happened, and so quickly. I can't wait to see the DVD of the recital, so I can actually see what happened. Backstage, everything went so quickly, I feel like it lasted 5 minutes.
3. Yes, we really do stalk each other... Come on over-- we're a really fun crowd!
4. I tried to be nice about the S.F. next door... In my next post, you'll see that finally, finally, I had to do something about it- southern charm or not. Coming up tomorrow!
5. I'm so glad I had that delta number handy ... I think that's what saved us-- In fact, I know that's what did-- or else we would have missed that flight, and who knows what time we would have gotten to Disney!
6. Thank you so so so much for reading! I'm so glad you're here!
