Could Use Some Good Wishes - Lupus Test Today-2nd Update #46

I waited two weeks for my results. Not fun-I hope your doctor is quicker, Christine.

Oh, Christine. I am very sorry that you have to go through this. Test results can take a while and it's no fun getting a call from a Dr.

I will be praying for you and hope that your results come back negative.

Please post us your results so we can congratulate you on a non-lupus outcome!

Think posititve and don't let it get you down.

Thanks. I certainly will post!!

The worst part is that I *know* that there is no need to be kept waiting a long time for test results. With the exception of a few specialized tests, most test results are back to the doctor 24 hours after the blood draw. I have had 2 doctors tell me this. Of course, after that, it takes another 2-3 days for the doctor to review your chart and get back with you. But 2 weeks? C'mon--that's just ridiculous.

Any updates yet? I understand the "waiting"...had my echo last Wed. to check on my mitral valve and still waiting for results.

We must have ESP!!! I decided to call the doctor's office this morning (about an hour ago). I got the "give me your name and phone number and I'll have someone get back to you" brush off. I wonder how long that will take. I never know if I should sit by the phone or what, but man, I've got to pee!!

By the way, luvwinnie, how did that weird "zit" turn out that you had last week?

Apparently it was just a zit, almost gone! Thanks for remembering.
Hope they call you soon. If you have a cordless, bring it with you to pee! lol

No, no cordless. I'm at work and now chained to my desk.

Hope you get some good news soon. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

My dear friend Kate has lupus. She was diagnosed as a teenager. She does have flare ups, but all in all, it doesn't bother her much. Good luck with your test! I've said a prayer for you.

Good luck :grouphug:. I hope the doctor calls you soon with good news.

Christine, I hope you aren't still HOLDING IT IN!

No, I finally gave up. I got no call back today. I tell ya!! The medical community--they are something else. Two days ago, I called my gastroenterologist's office to get a refill on my GERD medication. I told the the phone person my name, phone number, refill that I needed, and my home address. Just got the prescription in the mail today. It was addressed to me, it was EXACTLY what I asked for, but the prescription was made out to Elroy Niebman. :confused3

Okay, just got a call. The results are in and they are "good." I think that's good news!! But I still don't have a cause for my weird maladies. At any rate, I'm going by their office tomorrow just to get my own copy of the results and see just how "good" they are. They ran a lot of different tests and it's probably good information to pass on to my primary care physician.

Thanks for all the good wishes.

Thats great news!! :grouphug: I hope whatever it is will be minor!

Glad the results were negative for lupus. :flower3:

Best wishes and prayers your heath issues are resolved soon.
