Could this be periMenopause ALREADY?

The starting early ending early theory doesn't wash here. My DM started at age 10 and didn't finish until age 58 ( I am now 56 with no prospect of stopping), and her doctor told her that was why she was a such high risk for breast cancer. She died of breast cancer at age 62. Am I scared? You better believe it!!!

Night sweats?!?! OMG, I've been waking up in a puddle of sweat just about every night. Is this my problem? I've had a hysterectomy, so I can't tell by my periods changing, and I've been moody all my life so I can't tell by that. I'm only 43, how long is this sweating crap going to last (I hate to sweat!) and what other fun do I have to look forward to?

They "tested" me at 38 for FSH levels and said I
was NOT periomenopausal. At 43, I was declared
"POST" menopausal-so how did I get post if I was
never Pre? Wonders of medicine! Meantime, they
testing me for MS, other neuro issues, put me on
anti-depressants which almost killed me(Buspar),
did a CATScan, head MRI looking for tumors, Holter heart
monitor, diabetes testing, allergy testing and other
things I can not remember. It was ALL menopause!!!!
I never had the first hot flash either. All I can say is-don't
count on docs to know everything and start eating soy.
Soy has done wonders for me!

Yes - another vote for soy! I started taking a soy supplement and drinking soy milk and found it cut the sweats down some.

LOL, I found this thread very interesting. I'm not going through it yet, but it helps to know what's coming and what to look for.
Thanks :)
