Could the Girls Scouts please issue a badge..

...That says "I have already ordered eight boxes of cookies from my co-worker's two DDs". I feel so bad coming out of the supermarket or Walmart and having to say no to the ones selling cookies at the stores. Especially when they look up at me with those pleading little eyes that are begging me to buy more from them. I think I won't be able to go grocery shopping again until GS cookie time is over

And I can't even get ONE stinkin' box of GS cookies! Nobody I know sells them and nobody comes selling them door to door. And I've yet to see any being sold outside the stores. I am a Thin Mint addict and would kill for a GS to come sell me a box (okay, alot of boxes).

My daughter is a Junior this year and we are just about done with cookies! I am so excited!!! I've sat with her and the troop at 3 booths and for the most part had a positive experience. We had alot of people say they had already bought and we thanked them for supporting girl scouts. The worst are the ones who grumble at the girls or just totally ignore them. All you have to do is say no thank you. We also had one lady get into a fight with her boyfriend while buying cookies and started cursing right then and there. Oh that was a treat.

I am a troop leader for a group of brownies and please don't feel like you can't say No... I personally haven't had our girls at any stores but they are so excited to be with their friends away from school or troop meetings they really don't care how many they sell... well at least most of the girls don't care. Plus with so many girls selling them you really do get hit from every angle. My DH felt the pressure so he even bought from another little girl even when our daughter was selling...
