Could it really feel like the parks?

My wife and I have never cruised in our lives and we love the Disney parks. Does the Disney cruise lines "feel" like the parks and the resorts? Or do the ships really feel similar to the Disney resorts?

I wouldn't say it feels like the parks, but you definitely know you're with Disney. I love Disney (my husband says I have a DIS-nease), but he's not such an addict. That said, he loves the ship, and so do I. You can immerse in Disney if you want, but you can also get away from it and more to the "adult cruise". It provides the best for both, we think.

Do most people do the parks then do the cruise? Or is it enough just to do the cruise on its own. I could see being pretty tired from the parks!

I've done the 4 night Land/3 night Sea, and yes, we were exhausted by the time we got to the cruise. We couldn't stay up past 10:30 any night, so we feel like we missed alot.

We are going on the 7 night Western Caribbean on Sept 10, so I'm hoping to have enough energy for everything! :hyper:

We also love the parks. The best way to describe the cruise is that is all the Disney "magic" without all the work. Just be careful. I went on my first cruise in April and now that is all I want to do. I was at the parks twice this summer and had a hard time not longing for the cruise. And believe me I am crazy for the parks usually. The cruise just adds onto your Disney obsession.

It is much better than the Parks. Peaceful and relaxing. You don't need a vacation after a DCL cruise like you do after a Park experience.

The two are completely different, but with a commom Disney bond. Kinda like driving a Lexus 430 and a Corvette. Both great, but distinctly different.

After going on our first Disney Cruise last year (and loving every minute) and visiting the parks many times, this year we could not decide. So, we are doing 2 days before the cruise at WDW, then a 7 day Disney cruise, and then 2 days after back at WDW.
