Me too! I really miss my Grandma who lived in a nursing home. I know the little things made her the happiest, like mail and when my dad took the dog for a visit. PM or Email me.

Katholyn I would love to put a smile on your Mom's face for her birthday! Having met you a couple of years ago at the Niagara Falls meet I can honestly say I liked you right away so your Mom must be a very special lady too.
Do ya think she'd like a card from Canada? lol
Just send me a PM with her name and address and I'll mail it tomorrow.....it may get there a bit late seeing it's coming from Canada but she'll get it by next week.
Pm me her address and I'll send one. Does she have a favorite animal or scene? I know my grandmother LOVES birds so I always try to find a card with a bird on it somewhere.
Cheers to you for such a great idea. I'd be happy to send one as well! We had my grandmother in law living with us for 5 yrs. It was a difficult road, but one which I would take again. She is now in a nursing home, she has Alzheimers.
Please pm me her address and she'll have another one from Canada.

You can count me in for a birthday card as well as a St. Patty's Day card. My Golden Retriever is a certified therapy dog and several days a week we go to nursing homes and hospice visiting anyone who would like to be loved on by a big, happy, smiling Golden. He has been known to get in bed with patients (when they invite him), stretch out with them, and take naps. Again, this is strictly when the patient asks me to let him do this. His "regulars" really look forward to his visits. His nickname with them is Dr. Dallas.
PM me with your mom's address. If she likes dogs I'll add her to my dog's "fan club" and send her a "pawtographed" picture as well.
