Cot in a king size bed room?

Has anyone ever used a cot in a room with a king size bed. Was there enough room to still move around. I am asking in reference to a moderate resort.

There should be room for a cot. But I don't think they'll allow you to book 3 people into a king room.

1) King Rooms do not allow a cot.
2) They are booked maximum for only two people and a crib (under 3-yrs-old).
