Hi! :wave2:
I know it is early to be thinking about this...but I can't stop thinking about WDW! :cloud9:

What costumes are your DC's wearing for the par-tay??? princess: :firefight :clown: :hippie:  I don't know yet what DS and DD will be...but I was curious what costumes everyone else has thought up...

Thanks! :thanks:

From years gone by we have every Disney princess costume except Belle. DD4 is thinking Ariel. DD9 we'll have to do something else. DD9 did not dress up for the Princess Breakfast last year -she was too big she thought. WE are going the end of September for the MNSSHP so we had better get planning.

We have been twice. The first time we were a mish-moss of costumes DD(6 at the time) was a friend of Tinkerbell's. She was a fairy. We used her ballet costume from dance and bought wings. DN (12 at the time) was a friend of the Villians She was an Evil Goddess. She got alot of attention from the villians. They loved her. I was a clown, DH was a pirate. DH didn't want to dress, but, once we did he was happy with it.

Second year, DH came up with the Pirate's of the Carrabian theme. This time he really got into it. There were 9 of us (3 families). And we all stayed with the same theme. I purchased all of the clothing for my 3 from the Goodwill. Bought the accessories from Walmart. I only spent $10 at the Goodwill and that was for all 3 of us. Once our friends saw what we had for costumes, they brought their bought ones back to the store and had me dress them as well. For 7 of the 9 of us it only cost $35.00 for the entire outfits including accessories. and props. Accessories and props are very important to our family. We were giving our own Halloween treats to the CM. We handed out small bags of gold choc. coins. We looked great as a group.

If you've never been before. ....Some words of advice...

*Try to go to MK earlier in the day of party. It's really cool to see the transformation they make is such a small amount of time.

*Take advantage of the free photo booths they have set up. (There's usually 3-4 of them).

*If you can, go on Halloween night. We went the first Halloween after 9/11. Full moon and all.

*Keep in mind that what ever costumes you choose, you have to pack them. Try to stay as light as possible. The first year we had to bring an extra suitcase just for them. The second year everything fit right in with our other things.

You will be amazed at some of the costume you see there. There is such a veriety of things. Not all being Disney related either.

Most important.....Have a great time. :cool1: :cool1:

My DS wants to be Kitt Fisto (one of the lesser known Jedi from Star Wars) - but I have no idea how to make that costume. The Jedi robe part is easy - it's making his head look like Kitt Fisto that's the challenge.

I haven't decided for DD but she loves Cinderella so maybe that? She was Cinderella when she was one, but do you think she'd remember? :lmao:

My 2 year old DD will be wearing her aunt's old SnowWhite dress that was made for her when my sister was a young child and the same lady that made the SnowWhite dress will be making my 9 month old DD a Dopey costume. SnowWhite and Dopey!

My DDwill be Princess Aurora and my DS will be Prince Phillip. I was thinking of the packing issues too, costumes can start to take up a lot of space and we always seem to run out of that space on the way back after we buy all of the souvenirs (even though I tell my kids they are not going to get as many, somehow, they always manage to accumulate them!!)

Anyway, I just ordered two T-shirts for my DH and I from disneyshopping.com. The Design Your Own T-shirts had a print of Mickey as a skeleton, which I ordered for my DH and there was a print of Minnie dressed up as a witch riding a broomstick, which I ordered for myself. That is what we will be wearing to the party. I figured that would be easy enough to pack!!

My DDs - 6 and 2: I'm not quite sure yet, but was actually thinking about this just yesterday. I think for DD2, maybe Wendy from Peter Pan. That should be simple enough - AND she would be ready for bed after the party :thumbsup2 . DD6 thinks she wants to be Snow White, she already has this costume from a Birthday Party she went to back in the Spring.

Great idea! I had not thought about a Dwarf to go along with Snow White.

DH and I will just be happy to be there - no costume required.

This will be our very first MNSSHP!!!

After much debate I am going as a belly dancer, a very modest belly dancer. Our DS won't go unless he is a pirate of course with dear dad by his side as another pirate.

I went to a thrift store and got the boys things there and picked up two swords at Wal mart.

I got my costume off ebay.

We will be there on Sept 29th.

I forgot but when we were brainstorming for the party I thought that three blind mice would be very cute. We could wear ears and sunglasses with white sticks.

Very un PC but fun!

We are taking my daughter (4) to the Bippidi Boppidi Botique in the afternoon before the party. As of right now she is saying she wants to be Belle, however when we get there and she actually gets to look at the costume she might change her mind.

DD6 will be going to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique then going to the party, she wants to be Belle and hasn't changed her mind in months. We will also be bringing her Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella costumes. She loves to wear them to the parks, the CM's and others always give her the royal treatment. We purchased the Minnie constume from the Disney Store website on sale for DW, not sure if I will wear one yet myself yet. We'll be going on 10-24.

This is our first time going to the MNSSHP and a last minute add on to our upcoming trip! I wanted to dress all our kids in one theme but I just couldn't get them to agree on anything I could find. So we ended up with DD4 as jasmine, twin ds7 as dash and the green mystic ranger. Do alot of adults dress up? After spending 150 on tickets and 150 on kids costumes I just don't think Dh and I can afford to! Hope we won't look too out of place!

Well, I'm still struggling with what to dress DD and DS as. I'm now thinking pirates might be in order. They have some super cute boutique type pirate costumes on ebay for DD (she would get a tutu)...I don't know...I change my mind daily...

I did buy DD a Belle costume on ebay - but I think that will be for our princess breakfast...but I guess it could do double duty. I don't know - too much to choose from!

Thanks for sharing all your ideas though - your costumes all sound fantastic!
