Costume ideas for MNSSHP? please share?

We are a family of 3 going to MNSSHP for the first time!We are so excited!!! We would like to use a disney theme for our costumes, but haven't come up with a good idea yet? Any ideas for a mom, dad, and 6yo son? Would love some suggestions????

Ours wasn't a Mickey theme, but DH and I did bumblebees, and it was pretty easy. We found a costume at a costume store that was a vest thing, yellow and black striped, with the wings attached. We wore black long sleeve t-shirts, balcks shorts, black stockings, and little antennae. It was all pretty easy to pack, laid pretty flat and didn't take up a lot of room.

We found the bee vest things at Spencers Gift store in our local mall.

My suggestion would be to start with your ds's favorite Disney character and then you and DH cordinate. If he likes Aladdin, you two could be Jasmine and Genie, if he likes Buzz, you could be Jessie and Woody, etc. I would think you could make the costumes as simple or elaborate as you choose. Have fun!

I like laurie31 idea of picking DS favorite and running with it! Maybe the costume links can help!

I just thought of these Disney threesomes....Nemo,Marlin and Dory...Minnie,Mickey,Pluto...Huey,Dewey and Louie....Mickey,Goofy and Donald....Mulan,Mushu and Crikee.I know there's more but it's about to storm so I gotta go!

Thanks Baloo Now I've gotten myself more excited about my own family's costumes!

I thought of a few more threesomes- Peter Pan, Wendy, and Captain Hook; Pongo, Perdy and one of the puppies - Patch or Lucky maybe (or you could be Cruella instead of Perdy ) and Dalmation costumes could be just white sweatpants and Tshirts with painted-on black spots. Attatch a tail if you're creative and maybe a collar. Lady, Tramp and Scamp - can you tell we're into dogs at my house I'm sure there are many more. Which movie or character is your ds favorite?


It looks like we will be there the same week! We'll have to put some lime green in our costumes! We will be at MNSSHP on Oct 5th My girls will be Cinderella and Ariel but I can't decide if I want to be the Evil Stepmother or Ursula - LOL I wish DH would be a prince, but I think he won't dress in costume at all
