Hi!
Basically my boyfriend has tentatively agreed to go to disney Paris in early September, though it does depend a lot on costing.... It would be nice if we could budget in a day in Paris :)
I'm not sure how long we would stay, it's been so long since I've been to dlp, so any suggestions would be great, maybe 2 nights 3 park days.
And hotel wise I don't mind nice close and not necessarily disney.
Oh and we'll go by Eurostar

Thanks in advance :D

Hello :)

What sort of budget are you looking at for your stay?

Paris can be done as a very cheap day trip - it's only 40 mins from the gates of DLP and a day transport ticket is 15.65€ for unlimited travel on all RER/Metro/Bus.

You can visit a lot of famous sites even if you don't have the time or the funds to go in them or up them in the case of the ET ;)

If you stay off site the costs of doing DLP go down, 1 stop is Val d'Europe and you'd have the Auchan hypermarket where you could buy food and snacks to lower costs plus a foodcourt with decent choices and much lower prices than Disney

2 stops is Bussy which is cheaper again hotel wise and is less than 10 mins away by the RER.

You can buy park tickets during one of the French flash sales as there will be some for September normally as it's not high season so that doesn't need to be dear. The last one had tickets at 30-35€ per day to give you an idea

Hth :)

Thank you for the quick informative reply :D !
I had no idea we could do a Paris day trip so easily that's amazing.

No budget as such, just not incl flights or food when we went to wdw in dec for 10 nights incl 14 day disney and universal tickets we paid £1300 in total... And as my bf agrees on this as long as its relatively cheap...I guess it just has to be quite a lot cheaper than that!

What is RER? X

RER is Réseau Express Régional, or Regional Express Network in English ;)

It's the suburban trains that take up where the metro leaves off after zone 2.

From DLP it's the RER A that goes from East to West and vice versa.

You have 5 stops in Paris that link up to metro lines and 3 of them are good for getting off and starting exploring.

Châtelet – Les Halles gets you within walking dsitance to Notre Dame and the Latin Quartier in one direction and to the Marais and Beaubourg (Pompidou centre) in the other.

Auber is right next to the Opera and the dept stores - Galleries Lafayette and Printemps

Charles de Gaulle - Etoile is the top of the Champs Elysées and the Arc de Triomphe

Wow so much info, I'm saving it all to a word doc haha :)
So from your exp, and based on the fact that we are willing to be slightly out, maybe the first stop though not the further one, how much of a rough guesstimate are we looking at?

Also I read somewhere that if you are getting a 3-day pass you should consider an AP?!?

Thanks in advance :) x

We paid about £75 per night for the Elysee which is very nice and just over the road from the train station and the shopping centre. We didn't get breakfast with that rate but that suits us as we prefer to eat in the park. We chose that hotel as we wanted convenience for the children but if you're happy to walk a bit further down the road you can get cheaper hotels.

APs were about £110 from promoparcs

Urgh I am positive I replied!- should probably use a laptop not a phone, point proven as I accidentally pressed send early and am now writing this on edit haha.

Thank you all for your help, I think we will go with hipark! And the AP definitely seems something worth looking into- if i ask my bf if he wants to get annual passes for an extra couple of pounds he can't really turn that down :D

Thanks again x
