Costco Travel Question

Hmmm.... I don't see the same fine print. What I see says premium character dining, one voucher per person, per package. The fine print ** only defines what premium means. What part are you reading? Regardless, you are asking for less than what you are reading, which usually works out fine.

I already have booked and have my invoice. It says Premium Character Dining, 1 per person, then lists all four of us. Our kids will be 7 and 3 when we travel, too, and it was no problem.

Good to know! Thank you!

I'm not sure where the fine print was, I DID read it, but my DH was the one who pointed it out.

I cant read the conditions anywhere that you have to be a costco member to book the package. Is this right?

my costco membership is not currently active. I go with either my mom or sis. Could I use either of their membership cards/number to book my ressie or does the name on the ressie need to match the name on the costco membership?
If need be I will reactivate my costco membership, just trying to get away with as less steps as necissary

I'm guessing that the name on the card needs to match the name on the ressie. When I booked, I had to put in my Costco card number on the same page where I put my personal info.

They asked me for my membership number and said you have to be a member--my guess is that the names need to match up.

that being said...it's worth the membership fees to go through Costco if you're going to do a premium dining.

The name on the package needs to be the person checking in with confirmation and Costco card, they will check this. You do have to be a member to purchase.

We are planning on booking through COSTCO as well, the 5 for 3 deal sounds great plus the GC and dining vouchers. However we read on the fine print its for a "family of 4 to include 3 adults and 1 child"... We will need 2 adults, 2 children since our oldest is under age 11. Will that make a difference at all?

I've normally seen that wording when they are giving an example of cost, like "5 nights at the DLR starting at $1500" or something like that...they have come up with a mythical family (2 adults, 1 "junior", 1 child) to create that price.

But it's in a weird place on the Costco Travel site, that's for sure!

For Good Neighbor hotels that have parking fees, I assume you are hit with those when you check in/out?

Another Costco booking question....

We booked this evening online but I've yet to get an email confirmation. When and will I get that? I did read our tickets/package will arrive 21 days before our trip. The countdown is on for that! :goodvibes

It may be different for online reservations, but when I booked mine over the phone, the agent told me that it could take up to 24-48 hours to get an email confirmation. I think I got mine about 6 hours later.

I have been beating myself up for booking with AAA - I totally missed the whole Costco option. I can make changes, but canceling and re-booking doesn't financially work out.

We received the confirmation last year within 24 hours. Had a verbal conf. # over the phone when the ressie was made.

I just booked after I had a momentary freakout thinking the standard rooms at that rate would run out ;) For those of you who booked through Costco Travel do you find that this is the best deal or do you really end up "paying" for those extras? I don't think I really priced everything separately. Mainly I compared Costco's package to ones offered by Disney and AAA which all seemed to be the same deal except Costco had the free character breakfast & gc.

I found that the breakfast and GC were a "free extra" but if you have to pay for membership or like me, cant get membership (Live in Sydney Australia and not prepared to travel to Melbourne to get my photo taken), then it worked out roughly the same as dreams unlimited or WDTC.

I was quoted around $1300 for May 16-May 21 at Paradise Pier. That seems high to me.

I was able to book at Desert Palms (Good Neighbor hotel) for $84/day. This was for May 16-May 20, so 1 day less than other quote, but when factoring in 5 for 3 park hopper passes for two adults and one 5 y.o. (our 2 y.o. is free), the per day charge seems a lot less.

Is there something I am not factoring in?

Thanks in advance.

p.s. this is my first post here. Hi all!

I'm not sure if that's a good deal or not...

I'm paying $1350 for 5 nights at the Hyatt with passes--but that's for a 2 bedroom kids suite.

I'll have to do some more searching later.

I called Costco today and they told me parking & resort fees was included. Maybe I can't bad info...I'm thinking about booking through Costco, but if parking is not included then maybe not. Disney, Costco and AAA sites always crash out on me so it's very hard for me to get info. When you call they don't really want to give a quick answer.

We are most likely booking our trip through Costco because of the "free" Character Dining . . .does anyone know if I can call and make the reservation for the dining before I book anf get my package from Costco. I'm just worried about it filling up before my package arrives in the mail.

Yes, you can book now. There's no need to wait for your package. DL dining reservations only open up 60 days beforehand unlike WDW where it's 180 days I think.
