Costco/So. Cal Pass

Question for any of you that has booked a DL package through Costco and purchased a So. Cal City Pass instead of regular park hoppers...

If I book throught Costco, do I have to go to DL first, in order to pick up my tickets? Or do they mail the City Pass to you so you can use it at another attraction first, let's say, SeaWorld, before going to Disneyland.

Anybody know?

I have used the Southern California City Pass 3 times now and absolutely love it, its a great money saver. I have always used the City Pass web site,

and they have mailed them to me and they look just like a credit card. I have not used Costco so I can't speak for them on how you get your card. You can go to any park you want first, you do not have to go to any particular park first. Universal Studios and Sea World will just let you in and Disneyland will issue you a paper 3 day ticket at the turnstiles and you use that from then on out at Disneyland. We always do Universal and Sea World first and leave the best (Disneyland) for last. We get our hotel around Disneyland and just drive to San Diego and Universal from their. You can also add on the San Diego Zoo (you can only do this at the City Pass site, no parks will let you add it on) for an added amount if you have time to do that, the add on is about half way down the page from the link I provided where it says; San Diego Zoo Add-On. REMEMBER you can ONLY add on the zoo at the city pass site. Once you use it the first time you have 14 days before it expires. You can split your visits to the parks up like Disneyland, Universal, Disneyland, Day of Rest, Sea World, Disneyland (for example) if you like as long as you do it in a 14 day period.

Just wanted to add a small detail: As of July 1, Disney no longer issues you a paper ticket for your 3-Day Park Hopper; you simply use your CityPASS card for entry. Have fun!

I bought our CityPASS tickets from Costco.ca in June. Will this still be the case for us (ie. is there anything different about the cards after July 1)?
Will they work for fastpasses - they must I guess?
Also - if I take pictures of the back of them like I would Disney tickets in case one gets lost - can they be replaced?

Yes, the procedure is effective for everyone with a CityPASS card after July 1. And yes, you will use your card for FASTPASS.

As far as lost cards, we cannot replace them. However, our customer service team always does their best to help those with lost cards gain admission to the parks. The parks are generally willing to work with us in these cases, but we really can't guarantee anything.

I'm not crazy about having to pull them in and out all day for fastpasses though when they can't be replaced if lost. And I will have to think twice about getting my kids to get FPs.
It's good to have this info in advance though.

We are looking at heading down to DL in Nov, we are thinking of getting the citypass and doing a DL upgrade.

So if we want to Upgrade to 4 day hoppers from the current 3 we are paying the difference of $35 per ticket (for adults) since DL is $285 for a 4 day hopper and we get a credit of $250 per pass... Just want to make sure my math is correct on this before ordering
