Costco 4-Day PH Question

Has anyone purchaed PH passes @ Costco and been ableto upgrade them @ DL to APs? The PH passes @ Costco come with a $50 gift card. I would like to take advantade of this deal and then be able to upgrade to Premier APs. I know I wont get to keep the discount on the passes, I"m only interested in the gift cards.

Nevermind, I found the answer. If you try to upgrade the 4-day PH they only apply the value of $150 to the more expensive pass thus negating the value of the gift card.
