Cost to upgrade commensurate with room type??

We're staying at the AKL and I booked a Savannah room w/ a code from mousesavers. We didn't get the standard rate of $114, so our rate was more like $215. Say we wanted to upgrade to Concierge and it was $60. Would it only be $60 for the people with the standard room also or would it go up $160 for those with a standard code?
