Cost to add Water Parks to an old-price ticket

I'm trying to figure out how to handle this situation for our family. We're going to WDW this summer. Three of us have water park entries from some old no-expire tickets that we still have.** However, my youngest daughter will need tickets (probably 2, making the water parks and more option cheaper than individual entry tickets). Now, we bought our tickets before the recent price increase. Here are my questions:
1a) Is there any issue in us adding WP and more to just one of the 4 tickets (I assume not)?
1b) What is the best way to do this? We will be going to the Water Park first, before even checking in at our hotel. Can I do this ahead of time by calling someone, or do it online once I add the tickets to our MDE? Any reason I should not add the ticket to my MDE account?
2) Is the cost to add that on (note: not adding more days, just that option) just the current cost of the WP and more option, or do we also first have to pay the difference in the ticket price to bring it up to the current price for a ticket?

** As an aside, getting that "no expire option" was the best deal ever for our family, while at the same time ensuring Disney got more money from us. It directly led to another trip for our family (since we had "already" paid for tickets), during which we stayed at a higher-end resort, and spent far more money on food than the tickets were worth. Plus, it's the reason we'll be spending an extra day at a Disney resort this year (as opposed to an extra day at a Universal hotel and going to Aquatica). I really wish they still had that option, and I bet it was a net money-maker for Disney, though it might not have seemed that way.

1a) Nope, you can upgrade just one ticket.

1b) Nope, can't be done ahead of time unless the tickets are part of a package, and I believe that if they are, you have to change all the tickets on the package to the same thing if you do it ahead of time. (Not 100% sure on that point as I don't book packages, I just deal with tickets.) Adding to MDE shouldn't matter. The ticket booth/Guest Relations/whatever they call them windows at the water parks should be able to do the upgrade, since as far as I know they have access to the same ticketing system that we do at the theme parks.

2) If the ticket was purchased directly from Disney (and not part of a package), you pay the difference between an old X-day ticket and a new X-day ticket with WPF&M. However, if your ticket was purchased from a third party seller or as part of a package, then it will be price bridged to the new gate price and you'll just pay the difference between a current X-day ticket and a current X-day ticket with WPF&M. The ticket being completely unused will not affect a CM's ability to do this.

Note: If your ticket was purchased from a third party seller or part of a package, and therefore needs to be price bridged, do the math ahead of time to figure what the upgrade should cost. Make sure to include tax in your math. If the CM quotes you a different price, ask if they did the price bridging. If they don't know what you're talking about, ask for a coordinator.

I'm not positive, but I think the ticket has to be used at lease once in order to get the price bridge and NOT have to pay the increased ticket price. If you're going to the water park first, there is no way to use that ticket first, so you may be stuck with paying the increase along with the current WP&M addition price.
