I am dreaming about the Polynesian DVC villas and so the speculation begins.... I wonder what they will sell at price per point? Will there be a minimum amount of points to buy? When will they go on sale? When are the DVC villas projected for completion? What will the points per nt be for DVC?
Am I alone in my dreams of DVC wknd of luxury? Lol

I have a little bit of a relationship with a guy at the time share store. He said they have a pool going on about the opening price. His thinks $205 pp. I think that is high. I will go $185; the price I think vgf ends before selling out. Sale start date spring of 2015. Open fall of 2015. Points per night I hope no higher than vgf...but not sure on that one. 50 point minimum...no incentives. My 2 cents

I think they'll match GFV unless it's sold out already by then; I am guessing $175/pt

185/nt- eek. I am hopeful that one may have the availability to purchase 25 points. The thought of 200/pp? That is a possibility but I'm afraid that would be way too much for me to even consider - I just couldn't bring myself to do it at that price. Let me tour the villas when they go on sale,,..,,that would need to be impressive to persuade a buyer to drop $200 or even $185 per point. I feel like the VGF sales are likely steady but I don't get the feeling that people are beating down the doors to buy at $155/pp let alone $165/pp. perhaps I am incorrect.....

That is beyond crazy pp. There's always going to be someone willing to pay that, but I've got to wonder if there's a ceiling that will be to high to justify.

They started VGF lower than BLT was selling for at the time...and way lower than I expected them to sell VGF for. Plus VGF is the primo place to stay at WDW, so I think Poly will start less than what VGF will be selling at and I think they will start selling this fall/winter. I am going to go with $165 and VGF will be at $175 by then.

Now, point cost. What do you think the point costs will be? And I won't ever be able to afford enough points for the bungalows (I think they will be the most point costing rooms at WDW). And it appears that the longhouses will be all studios (though that hasn't been confirmed). If they are studios, I wonder what the points costs will be. I would think between BLT and VGF since CRO rooms go that way (GF is most expensive, then Poly and then CR). So, if I look at a weeknight in Aug- dream season (our main vacation time)...BLT is 17, 19 and 24 by view and VGF is 21 and 25 by view. So, I would guess somewhere around 20-23 for Poly?????

I think the other question is point per night cost. I think 25 is going to get you very little even if you bank and borrow. If you can get 3 nights for 75 points I will be surprised. The points at GF show the lowest points at 17. I think Poly will be higher per night.

And I think Poly will be more popular then GF. Poly has a cult following amount Disney fans. GF does not inspire the same loyalty. Plus the bungalows are unique.

When VGF went on sale they offered it to existing DVC members first at $145pp. Then it went on sale for new buyers at $150 (if I am not correct I'm sure someone will set this straight). The current minimum is 100 points for new buyers at $165 pp.

25 point purchases are minimums for existing members to add on.

If that's what you want it may be a good strategy to buy a small resale contract at another resort to get into the system and that way you will be able to get that 25 point add on at the Poly for the cheapest possible price. I have no real opinion on what that price may be. I do feel that it will be higher than VGF opening price and the price point will likely be higher to stay there nightly. 25 points won't get you much.

I was talking about that in the post above yours. I don't think the Poly studios will be higher that the VGF studios as VGF is 'THE' place to be at WDW and costs more to book via CRO.
