Cost of Taxi from Airport to WDW?

Can anyone give me an estimate of how much it would cost to take a cab from Orlando International to the Contemporary Resort? Originally I was thinking about taking a cab, but wdwig.com said it was about $40 one-way. For that price, I can get one of the better services, like Tiffany Towncar or American Luxury Transportation! Anyone have experience with cabs?

Hi,
Last year, we left my DD suitcase at the airport. THere were 7 of us and it was very confusing. I thought DH had the suitcase. DH thought my niece had it....well, I had to take a cab to go get it. THe round trip was $90 with the tip!

I always count the bags now!

TIffany Town car is great. It's $75-80 round trip.

I've done it a couple of times and it is between 90 and 100 including tip. I think next time I will try a towncar.

I prefer YourRide.net! I have used Tiffany and Mears.

Before we discovered the various Town Car services, we used Mears (blech!) and taxis. A trip from MCO to Polynesian cost us between $42 and $48 one way. . .then we would also tip the driver on top of that fee. It's a bit less expensive to go the Town Car route although we never had a problem with the taxi service either.

Thanks for everyone's comments! Yeah, I had a bad experience with Mears the last time I was at WDW too. It took 45 minutes to actually leave the airport, the driver was driving soooooo slow on the way to WDW (I swear, he was going at least 15-20mph UNDER the speed limit!) and the bus made 6 or 7 stops before we got to the Wilderness Lodge. Never again with Mears! It sounds like a towncar service will work best for me.
