I am getting vouchers from my partner for my birthday. I am not sure whether to get all Disney vouchers or split them 50/50 with vouchers from my favourite soccer team.

We are quite generous (and so is the current exhange rate!!!!) to each other so I'll be getting about $95. Do people think I should go for all Disney dollars or split it?

I know some people will be like 'The more $ the better' but I'm asking more along the lines - is $50 enough to buy a good spread of souviners to remember my trip?

I would suggest more than $50. You never know what you may find that you want. You can also use these at the restaurants so they won't go to waste.

Disney merchandise can be expensive. Adult sweatshirts are generally about $50. The nicer t-shirts are generally $25. The plain-ish screened t-shirts are around $18.

Pins may be more reasonable with a $50 budget. They range from $6.50 up to $15 (maybe more for the really fancy ones).

The World of Disney store is VERY BIG with a very wide range of merchandise. If you choose wisely, you can get a lot of souvenirs for your $50. You can also go to the off site outlet stores to make your dollar go further.

I, personally, can spend a few hundred dollars on souvenirs for myself very easily. But, then again, I'm a Disney freak!

$50 would buy you a 3-button polo shirt or a sweatshirt. You could probably buy 2 of the ride photos, possibly 3. To get a good assortment of sourveniers if this is a once in a lifetime trip and we are not factoring in kids, just for myself, I would probably want at least $200. I would want to buy a sweatshirt, maybe a t-shirt, some of the ride photos, a photo in front of the castle, a picture frame marked with the year and possibly a cd or 2. Now I go yearly and would plan to buy those things.

Although I am a Man Utd fan and wouldn't mind another Ruud shirt, especially since they will be in my neck of the woods this summer.

But since you live in England you can see your team all the time, so you might want to increase your spending money for Disney which it might be a while until you get back again! I can understand your difficult decision....

Lets see, $50 will get you one stuffed Mickey or maybe one and a half T-shirts.

You'll need more than $50. Last time we went we spent a large amount of money (about $120 U.S. ) on souvenirs for 4 children, and two adults. Unfortunatley, Disney is not cheap!
