If I understand you to be asking regarding sites at Fort Wilderness, the answer is no. Our full hook up (non-preferred) in March is about 75.00 a night or so. I know the rates change depending on the season, but I think the least you will pay to have elec., sewer, and water is around 60.00 a night.

38.00 per night is pretty average for any other campground we've used.

Hey there! It depends on what time of year you're looking for. If you check out the allears.com FW web page http://allearsnet.com/acc/faq_fw.htm you can see the chart with different times of years and their prices. If you don't have AAA you should consider getting it. When I went to FW in September I was quoted AAA rates of $35 for full hook-ups and $31 for partial. I do believe that a 5th wheel can go in a full hook-up site, so, with taxes, if you can get a AAA rate in the value season you might be able to get something for $38.00. (We went with a full hook-up and there were bigger rigs on our loop IIRC.)

Sites at Fort Wilderness (Disney's campground) are based on two things:

1. Level of service (type of site)
2. Time of year

Level of Service
Fort Wilderness has three (OK, 4 if you count group camping) levels of accomidations (camp sites). These are:

Partial Hook-Up Site
These sites have only electric and water on them and are geared to those that maybe camping in a tent or pop up camper. With this in mind, the paved "driveway" is smaller and the tent pad area is larger. Partial hook up includes the 1500 and 2000 loops
Full Hook-Up Site
These sites have electric water and sewer on them and are geared to those that maybe camping in an RV of some sort (Class A/B/C, 5th Wheel or travel trailer). Many folks such as myself who have pop ups also like them for the sewer option of disposing of our gray water. The paved "driveway" is larger and the tent pad area is smaller. The full hook up loops include the 600, 800, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1600, 1700, 1800, and 1900 loops.
Preferred Site
These sites include electric, water, sewer and cable TV. As with the Full Hook Up sites, these are geared to those that maybe camping in an RV and have the larger driveways. Mnay of the preferred loops are the original loops build in the early 7-'s and some feel the sites are smaller and the roads are harder to travel on. As of the summer of 2005 high speed internet access was being added to the preferred loops. The internet will be an additional fee, and is a wired system (cable) so you will need a modem from the reception outpost. The preferred sites are also in loops situated closer to the settlement which includes the marina, beach, restaurant, and many other activities. Also, if you plan on using the cable TV hook up, remember to bring a long coaxial cable to hook up with. If you don't have one Disney will be happy to sell you one. The preferred loops include the 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 700 and 1400 loops.

Time of Year
Up until 2003, as with all resorts at Disney World, the year was broken down into four seasons, with a different price during each season. They were (from highest cost to lowest) Holiday Season, Peak Season, Regular Season and Value Season. Starting in 2004 they added a "Pre-Holiday" season for the November/December time frame (campsites only). The Pre-Holiday season will be priced just above the Value season (about $4 more per site) So with this in mind, be careful how you make your reservations. Disney bills all days at the rate for the first day of your stay. If you start in Value season and extend into a higher priced season this is a great deal. But, if you start in a higher priced season and extend into a lower priced season you can be a looser. A way to get around this, make two reservations, one for the peak days and one of the off peak days. You will have to check out and then back in but usually can stay on the same site. When you check in for the first reservation, make them aware of your situation.

2007 Pricing
These prices are in the following order by site type:
Value/Regular/Peak/Holiday/Pre-Holiday

Partial Hook-Up Site 41/58/67/78/45
Full Hook-Up Site 46/69/79/91/50
Preferred Site 55/75/85/96/58


So, back to the original question, for 2007 no there are no sites for $38 even at the cheepest time of the year. As a matter of fact, in 2006 the least expensive was $39. This excludes any discounts that may apply.

Larger RVs (like the 5th wheel he asked about) are prohibitted from partial hook up sites.

While rare, there are discount codes and Annual Passholder discounts available. FW is so popular that they rarely have to rely on discounts to fill their sites so they don't participate in the discounts to the levels that other Disney resorts do. When they do, there is a limited number of sites available for discount and often have more blackout dates. You pretty much have to call on the first day that they are offered to get one.
