I know this has been posted somewhere before but can't find it. Anyone know the most recent prices of these shoots? I should have the info soon from WDW, but was just getting a jump on the budget.
Thanks! Bethany

I really can't wait! We're waiting to see if we'll be able to afford an AK photoshoot.

The disc costs extra, and the price varies depending on the kind of wedding you're having and who does your photography:

Escape

Hi-res image disc = $750

Price if you wait 3 years = $350

Price if you give up the album, online posting of images, and proof book included in the Escape package = $395

Disc is FREE if you buy one of the upgraded Escape "Cinderella" photography packages ($750-$1,225).

Wishes

Hi-res image disc if Disney shot your wedding = $1,000

Hi-res disc if outside vendor shot your wedding = $750

Price if you wait 3 years = $500

If you buy Disney's Enchanted Rose photography package, you can get the disc free by giving up the prints and albums.

If you buy Disney's Dreams photography package, you can get the disc for $200 by giving up the prints and albums.

If you buy Disney's Romance photography package, you can get the disc for $400 by giving up the prints and albums.

Thanks for this info - but it boggles my mind with these prices!! ughhhhhhh, just give me my photos on the stinkin hi-res disc! :rotfl:

Anywhooo, :rolleyes1 We're having a Wishes wedding and planning on an MK+Epcot shoot and Dessert Party coverage with DPS. Do you have any idea what that would mean in terms of cost of the disc? Would I get both events (Park shoot+ DP) for $750?

thank you! :)

Are the prints and albums worth it from Disney? Can I find a reputable printer if going the Hi-RES CD route to print certain photos I want or make my own album? Thanks.

Is this a new policy? What about international couples? I though we got the disk free? Or was it for $350 because the 3 years was waived?

Sorry to hijack your thread

I'm yammering all about this in the other thread right now, but yes you can print your own photos and make your own albums for less than Disney and most wedding photographers charge.

The place I use, Mpix.com, is the consumer version of Miller Labs, which is where a lot of wedding photographers get their prints made. The prices are slightly higher than Snapfish, Shutterfly, Kodak Gallery, etc. but the papers and finished are higher quality.

There are also lots of options for creating your own wedding album, especially if you want a coffee table-style book. You can design flush-mount (actual photos mounted in a book) albums, too. However, I will say that it can take a LOT of time to design your own album, so if you aren't crafty or don't have the time, it will be easier (if more expensive) to have your photographer make your album.

Yes! Escape couples who live outside North America get the disc free - they just don't get to pick what prints are in the albums that come with the Escape packages. Everything is finished and delivered to you before you leave Florida. :thumbsup2

What if you don't mind paying for one of the Cinderella packages and you want to pick the prints and you live outside North America, can you still do that? Is it a matter of time or delivery?

Also what happens if you add on a MK shoot, is it the same procedure in that you don't get to choose the photos included?

Also are there any other differences for couples outside of North America?

When we are talking about the CD, does it have all the photos taken on the wedding day or only the 20/40/ or whatever you pay for on it?

Is this the same for the MK shoot?

Thanks :thumbsup2

Those are the only differences for couples outside North America, and it's only Escape couples. Wishes couples have to pay for the disc and get to pick their prints and stuff. If it is important to you to be able to pick your images (and I know it was for me), you would just talk to your contact at Disney Photographic Services. THe thinking is that it's easier for them to turnaround your prints/folios/etc. if Disney selects the images, and that way you can get them before you leave for home.

Yes - the disc has ALL the photos from EVERY shoot you do with Disney. :thumbsup2
