Cost of checked bag question

How much is the cost of the 1st checked bag with Delta,US Airways,Allegiant,and AirTran and when can we pay for them before going to the airport? I remember that one of them wouldn't let you pay for your 1st checked bag till the day ( or two) before you were leaving and of course if you forget and do it at the airport,they charge more.Any Help would be great.Thanks

delta - $23 if you check in online, $25 at the airport $33 for 2nd check bag online $35 for check bag at airport

Airtran is $15.00 for the first bag.

Please note that if you have a Delta American Express credit card, your first checked bag is free (and also for the rest of the people on your reservation ... max 9 people). Check their website for all the specific details.
