I'm confused by the new terms (Gold, Platinum) for annual passes! Can someone tell me what the cost is for an annual pass (no water parks) for one adult who is a DVC member. Thanks!

I think the Gold pass is only available for DVC members. The link posted above shows the regular general public rates for AP's not the DVC rates - you have to use the DVC sign in link to access the DVC rates.
I can tell you that the cost of a new DVC Gold pass is currently $549 + tax. The renewal price for the Gold pass is $466 + tax ($496). The Gold pass has blackout dates during the weeks surrounding Easter (March 19 - April 1, 2016) and the week or so leading into the Christmas holiday (Dec. 19-31, 2016 and Jan 1-2, 2017). They have not posted any dates for next spring yet but I'm sure it will be the similar time frame surrounding Easter. The Platinum pass has no blackout dates (I don't know the price for it becuz we're renewing to the Gold but it's probably at least $100 more - I got an error on the website when I tried to sign in so I can't confirm the member price).
Really hope they keep the DVC only Gold AP. It allows us to go in say December this year and then in November the year after on the one pass. Good amount of savings there as opposed to buying regular park tickets with park hopper each year.
They finally updated on the main Disney World website, but not dvcmember.com. The spring blockout dates next year are April 8 - April 21 for the Gold Pass.
