Cost of adding a 3rd day?

Sorry if this is "common knowledge", but if I add a third day to our 2 day ticket, do I have to pay for an additional day separately, or just the price difference between a 2day tand 3 day ticket? Thank you!

You can add days to a max of 10 days on a single ticket. It's best to use your ticket first to enter a park before upgrading. In most cases, that locks in gate price value for your original ticket during the upgrade process (in case you bought it at a discount). Going from 2-day to 3-day tickets, at Disney gate price, is $88.40 (including tax).
