Cost of 1/2 pint of School Milk

How much does it cost your child to purchase a milk from school?

At my DS's private school it cost $.40 and they participate in the USDA milk program.

$.10 at my sons private school, but it has to be paid in full for the whole year at the start of school, and if you get whole white that's what you get the entire year-- no changing to chocolate. So it was $18 for the year.

It's .35 here for an extra container of either milk, chocolate milk or oj. They get 1 included with their lunch.

Same here, except it is included in the lunch fee of $2.10, if you get a lunch you have to get a milk (3 flavors to choose) then the kids who don't want it, put it on a table and the kids who want an extra milk can take one from there. They started doing this because a lot of unopened milk was being thrown out. If they buy juice or water, they still have to take a milk with a lunch.

I'm amazed at how milk hasn't gone up in cost that much! I remember in the mid to late 80's (20 years ago), when I was in grade school, milk was 25 cents in small town Illinois.
