(CORRECTED) Do we have time for all of this in St Thomas?

We have booked a kayak/hike excursion with DCL to Cas Cay in the morning (It runs from 8:45 to 1:15p). If we grab lunch after that, would we still have time to do the Butterfly Garden and the Skyride on our own before we leave port at 4pm? Probably pushing it as I have no idea how long it takes to travel the Skyride to the summit and back.

Based on my experience, no. Although we had an abbreviated amount of time in Tortola... We were supposed to arrive in Tortola at 7:30, but did not actually arrive until almost 10.
I'd also be hesitant on booking anything outside of Disney at this port as it takes a long time via ferry to travel through the islands.

Butterfly Farm is right by the port and can be done in 30 min or 4 hours, it is not very big and up to you. If your excursion times are correct, allow about 30 min either side, could be back at 12:45, could be 1:45. Skyride is very close to the port, best I remember it is about 15 min each way, but does not seem to always run consistently. I would do it first then decide how much time is worth going into the butterfly farm.

Thanks for the info. The actual excursion does say Cas Cay for St. Johns. Yeah, I thought that was awfully close to Castaway Cay as well

I don't know about the Skyride as we have not done it. But the butterfly garden is about a five minute walk from the ship - you can see the entrance from the ship.

A note about the butterfly garden: how long you take to walk through ic controled by you. it could be five or thirty or more minutes. There is supposed to be a tour, but when we went they said the tour would start soon and said we could take a seat or wander around. We wandered, read the signs, saw lots of neat butterflies, took a bunch of pictures, then sat. After over 30 minutes with no sign of the tour actually starting we decided to call it quits and headed back to the boat.
