Do you get free parking at the parks if you stay on sight ? I heard it's $9 a day to park normally.

Yes you get free parking if you stay on site. I'm not sure of the daily rate. We are also from New Brunswick , Canada and leaving in 9 days.

Hi Neighbor ! We leave on the 10th as well. We have 2 days at SeaWorld 1st and then we hit Disney from the 13th- 20th. We're at the ASMo. Where are you from in N.B. and where are you staying in DW ? We live in Rothesay , just outside Saint John. i look forward to getting your reply. :wave2: Elisa

It's a small world...I'm from NB as well and we're going in January.
Are either of you driving? :moped: I'll be looking forward to your trip reports.

I guess you can see where I'm from. I never knew there were so many local Disers ! Boomer1 is driving down. How admirable is that ? Do you drive down too ? My family will be driving as far as Bangor and then flying. It's so frusturating the prices of tickets from the maritimes. My husband just got transfered to Fredericton. He'll have a nice drive everyday ! I have family in Oromocto too. Or as they say there , Omocto . Elisa

We will leave on Friday, Dec.9, after school and will drive down. We usually spend our first night in Bangor. Last March we also flew out of Bangor to WDW, fares were alot cheaper. If the weather is good we will arrive in WDW Monday afternoon. We are towing our travel trailer and will stay at Fort Wilderness. Last Christmas we did the same thing and had a great time. This year we are extending our trip and will also stay over New Year's Day. We will be leaving on the 4th of January.

I'd be interested in hearing about where you plan to stay on each night of your travel to WDW. Such as the city or state or exit... :moped:
This is our first time going to Disney and DH felt more comfortable with driving than flying.
Elisa since your husband just got transferred to F'ton is there a move in the future for you? Or will you stay in Saint John?
SeaWorld sounds like a lot of fun!!!

Hi dandee00, my DH has someone to commute with so they can share expenses . We love our home and couldn't part with it . Besides, houses are much more expensive up there. Although it's a nice city, we're very established here. I hope you have a great trip in January. I'll try to get in a trip report. :flower:

At least your DH has someone to share the drive with.
Hope you have a great trip. Just a few more days. :goodvibes

Hi, on the first night we stay in Bangor no particular hotel just wherever has a vacancy. The second night we stay at a Hamton Inn off of exit 5 New Jersey Turnpike there is a Cracker Barrel rest. in the parking lot and lots of gas station handy with easy access back on the turn pike. The last night we stay in our travel trailer in South Carolina at a KOA campground. Hope this helps.

Thanks. Yes this does help. I hope you have a great Vacation.

If you're staying onsite, I would just use the Disney transportation. It's very reliable in most instances. I rarely even move my car once we arrive at our resort. Enjoy your trips!

Thank you for the tip. We will use it sometimes ,but we're staying at ASMo and it's notoriously standing room only,as it's the last resort in the All stars for the buses. We'll use the car for longer trips like when we're at Typhoon Lagoon and have to head to Wilderness Lodge for supper. I don't want to spend a lot of time waiting and riding .We will need the car for SeaWorld and the grocery store runs ,so we'll have it anyway. If it were just my DH and I , I wouldn't bother with a rental at all. I hope it isn't too busy !

We will probably not use our vehicle once we get on site. Maybe if we go shopping or to Sea World we will use it. The trip is getting closer! :hourglass
