Hi Everyone, Just wondering, if you had to choose between Caribbean Beach or Cornado Springs which would pick? If you have stayed at both and like them about the same could you post one reason for each that you really liked the resort and one reason that you were not so impressed with, if there are any? Also which is easier to navigate? TIA!!:)

We would choose the CSR for the pool, the peacefulness and the food court.

I have only stayed at the Caribbean Beach, and return regularly as I love its quiet beauty. I am crazy for the tropical theming. I do all my table service dining elsewhere, and find the food court has everything else I need when I'm at the resort (except good coffee!) The pool at Coronado rocks harder than the CBR pool, but depending on when you are going, the CBR refurb looks like it will bring their pool up to the Coronado standard. I always rent a car for ease of moving around. Both of these resorts are large (part of the charm as there are lots of quiet walkways and peaceful areas) but you can request to be close to the main pool/food court action. You will have fabulous time at either place. Cheers!

avoid CSR at all costs.. Convention hotel with guys that hit on the women at the pool, push and shove you at the food court.

you pay a 10% preminum to eat there also. Very un-disney like feel to CSR and if you not there with a convention, you are a 2nd class citizen.

Go CBR, POR or FQ for sure!

Actually I have been there both for a convention and just on vacation and found none of that.

Most of the conventioneers spend their days in the convention, so are rarely at the pool (maybe after the convention lets out). The four day convention I attended kept me VERY busy all day. The only "fun" time I had was at night in the parks and DTD.

I never saw any evidence of paying a premium at the food court (I had to account for every meal for my expenses) and the only time I got shoved at the food court was by a very frazzled dad with three kids (who apologized profusely and bought me a beer to make up for it!).

After my convention experience, I returned the following year with my family for a weeks vacation and loved this resort. I found the staff exceptional, food delicious, grounds impeccable and facilities better than some major chain resorts! It's central location makes for quick bus rides to the parks and DTD.

My family has stayed in CSR, CBR and PORS and by far prefer CSR!:thumbsup2

Definitely CSR! Great pool, transportation, atmosphere and pool. Check out my CSR website below for pics and info.

Every year we have been there, there has been some sort of convention going on. The pool was never crowded; we (my DH, kids or me/either alone or together) were ever harrassed by convention people. This past trip, I often took a walk around the entire resort late at night (after 10:30 or 11:00) and had no fears. I took every day precautions and NEVER had a problem.

I don't think you can go wrong with either resort. It may come down to the theming you like best.

I have stayed at both and prefer CBR. It depends when you are going but the main pool will be closed on Jan 7 until Sept.

We felt like we did more walking at CSR than at CBR. We didn't care for the food court but others love it.

I have stayed at both and overall had a much better experience at CSR. Nicer and bigger main pool, resort is less spread out, and the best bus service I have ever had at any Disney resort! We do not eat at the food courts, so this was not figured into the equation.

LOVE CBR for it's setting/atmosphere but on the other side we LOVE CSR for it's food court area...it's GREAT! The best out of all the moderates. We've stayed at both but have stayed at CBR many more times and we have alot of sweet memories at CBR.

I have stayed at CSR and I'm not real fond of it. It's so spread out, and I'm not a big fan of southwest architecture. It just made me feel hotter. While I love the looks of CBR, I've never stayed there and probably won't. I won't stay on the bottom floor and it doesn't have elevators and it's even more spread out than CSR. But that's what's so great about WDW, there is a resort for every one. You just have to find the one that is right for you.

Ask 5 people, get 5 different answers, lol.

Never been to CBR--we love CSR--have now been twice, and my 6 year old cannot wait to go back there. That said...we stayed in Ranchos both times and love the walk in the quiet morning to the Pepper Market before hitting the parks. Ranchos was also close to two bus stops--and I don't know about the CBR busses, but CSR busses do not share with another resort, rarely crowded never waited more than 10 min for a bus, only stood once on the way home after fireworks.

We saw a few conventioneers, but were never bothered by them. In fact, we liked it that they stayed in their conventions all day and freed up the busses and other facilities there. We didn't hang out at night so can't speak to their behavior then, but I will say that I arrived by myself (met my family, they travelled earlier in the day) at the resort near 1 am, walked by myself from Lobby to Ranchos with caution of course (and my hand on my cell phone), and I didn't run into a soul.

Most of all we just love the peace of CSR after a loud day @ the parks.

Good luck with your decision.

We loved CSR. We never felt like second class citizens and got only good service when my family stayed there. We also enjoyed the food court for breakfast. The boys liked when we could walk around the resort and loved the playground. I think that I actually enjoyed it more than our stay at the BWV, the service was much better at CSR.
