My husband, 2 1/2 year old daughter and myself will be staying at the Coronado Springs Resort in October 2004. After reading some of the postings I am hoping someone can help us decide which section of this resort is the best to stay at with our daughter? I did not realize some of the walking distances from the buildings could be almost 10 minutes. Does anyone have a favorite section they stayed at with a toddler? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. :earsgirl:

Even if you plan on renting a stroller at the parks, I would bring at least an umbrella stroller for getting around the resort. I would request Cabanas 8A or Cabanas 9B. Ranchos 7B would be a nice location, too. This resort is as beautiful as any of the deluxes. Have fun!

There's really no reason to walk anywhere except to a bus stop. The theme park buses all go to El Centro last and then a Downtown Disney bus will get you back to your bus stop. We've stayed there twice this year already (we will be back there for Thanksgiving, we really love this resort!) and we've never walked anywhere except to the bus stop and to the pools.

I would recommend Casitas 1 or 3, as close to the lake as you can get. Waterview would be best, not only for the view, but the proximity to the walkways.

It all depends on what you would like to be close to. My favorite is Cabana 8A--it is right near the dig site (main pool area, play ground) and to a bus stop. It is about a 5 minute walk to the food court. If you only want to be close to the food court and a bus stop, then Cabana 9B or 9A would be good. It is a great resort--you will really enjoy it.

I think the walking distance around the resort is exaggerated quite a bit on these boards. I stayed in Ranchos 7B and it never took long to walk anywhere. I was there with DD4 and I'd say it took about 5 minutes to get to the pool or the main building. The bus stop was even closer. The grounds are so beautiful, the walking around is very pleasant.

I was at CSR in June and I loved Casitas 1, it is centrally located to everything. Our room number was 1120 and it was a great 1st floor corner room with two windows. When you get to learn the coutyards it is so close to everything. Cut through two coutyards and your at the main building and 1st bus stop. If its pouring and you want to get to the main building you can do so without getting wet by walking under the covered courtyards

The Casitas quiet pool is located between 4 and 5(I think?) and the laundry/health spa/gym facilities. There is a bus stop really close but it is further away from the main building. If I remember correctly the bus stop is on the other side of the parking lot.

I think you would love any of the casitas buildings. My pick is number 1. Each building has its own advantages.

Have a great trip!
