I need some advice regarding the Coronado Springs Resort. We will be staying at CSR for 9 days in October with our 2 1/2 year old son. Is it possible to request a specific building to stay in and if so what is the best way to go about making this request (travel agent, call CSR??). I am concerned about how big this resort is and all the walking it sounds like we may have to do. I think being close to the main pool and a bus stop are pretty important but I don't want to be up all night becasue of too much noise from the outside. Hopefully, not asking too much!
Any reccommendations on which building would be greatly appreciated!!

Welcome to the DIS!!! You have come to the right place for info on CSR. It's my favorite resort.

First - you can click on the link below to visit my CSR website which will give you lots of pictures and info on CSR.

Yes

if so what is the best way to go about making this request (travel agent, call CSR??).
When booking your room, make your requests at that time. Then fax the resort directly 5 days prior to your arrival.

Walking Distances
From El Centro moving clockwise around the lake path to:
Casitas 3 = .16 miles
Casitas 4 = .24 miles
Casitas 5 = .27 miles
Ranchos = .46 miles

From El Centro to the Dig Site, via the bridge near the Cabanas
= .35 miles

From El Centro moving counterclockwise around the lake to:
Cabanas 9B = .16 miles
Cabanas 9A/8B = .22 miles
Cabanas 8A = .31 miles

OR

Take the bus instead of walking
Theme park buses go:
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas
1 - El Centro

Downtown Disney buses, as well as Park Exit buses go:
1 - El Centro
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas

CSR buses go in this order so that guests can hop on board a theme park bus and take it to the main building. They can then hop on a DTD bus to get back to their rooms.

CSR is a quiet resort. I have stayed in cabana 8a many times and you do not hear lots of noise. Cabana 8a or 9b are 2 popular choices to meet your request.

We stayed in Cabanas (8a). Very close to the main pool area. We had a standard view, but enjoyed it very much. Our room was on the opposite side of thebulilding, from the pool.

The pool is secluded, and we very seldom heard any noise. We were there in May, and the pool, and food stand at the pool, closed fairly early (8, or 9). THe quiet pools close too, well before Midnight, so don't worry about being kept up at night.

Our walk to the pool, was approx. 45 seconds. Less than 2 minutes to bus stop. Great location.

Our walk to the main building and food court, were longer. We only ate at the food court once. We didn't care for it, so it was no loss.

Other than the disapointment with the food court. This resort was awsome. You will have fun.

Good luck, and happy planning.:D

My son loved the Cabanas because we were right next to the beach area at the lagoon and he loved playing and digging in the sand. I loved the Casitas because it just seemed nicer and I liked the garden view. The pool near the Casitas is the biggest quiet pool on the property. You don't need to worry about outside noise to me. It was very quiet.

I think we were in Cabanas 9B and Casitas 2.
