Nice elevators. what an improvement. This was in Casistas 1?

For those of you w/ little kids. Do you ever take cabs? I have two ressies at other resorts and think it is probably easier to just take a cab instead of a bus but was wondering about carseats? Is it allowed not to use them in a cab? Not sure how comfortable I am with that but then again, she won't be in a carseat on a bus either so....:confused3

KEPE- I believe Florida law requires all children 3 and under to be in an approved car seat. The only exception is a bus.

Some cab companies may have car seats they can loan you, but you don't really know their history. If your flying your kids can use the car seats on the planes as well.

We are flying and DS will use his car seat on the plane, and we will have it to go to 1 of our ADR"s.

Thanks Joanne, we'll stick with the buses and just allow the extra time. She is 3 1/2 and I know I'm not lugging the carseat with me. Plus we planned to head straight to the parks after our ADR's and I don't even know what I would do with that think in the park, it weighs a ton. Thanks for the info!!

If they try and put you in the 2400 area (that's 4th floor of Casitas 2) ask for a new location immediately! This floor/building has no direct elevators to it, and it's a real PITA to get from the bus stop (to isn't so bad if you can walk down the stairs).

I was in 2456 last week (King/Preferred) and it got real annoying after the first couple of days, there's no way that any of those rooms should be considered preferred.

The lower floors may not be too bad, as the elevator on the lot side of the section (the "Tower Elevators") does go up to the 3rd floor, but 4th floor of building 2 is not going to be your best bet.

3rd floor of building 2 on the wings that have 3 floors would be fine, as would 4th floor of building 3 (The "Plaza Elevators" do go all the way up), just that 4th floor of building 2 is pretty bad.

Agreed. I'd much rather be in Ranchos than on the fourth floor of casitas 2. They tried to put us in casita 2 one trip, but I knew better and asked for something else. We ended up in cabana 9A, which is where I wanted to be anyway.

Since you paid for preferred, love2shop, I'd request top floor casita 3 to keep it simple.

Totally.... absolutely.... 100% agree!!!!
We've stayed in both.... 4th floor in Casitas and Ranchos.
We fell in love with Ranchos and it really isn't that far from anything! Ranchos 6B is the best!!! :thumbsup2

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I too have been in what the CMs call 'No Man's Land'. I had a King room up there, back before they made that building a Preferred building. I wasn't happy I had paid extra for a King room and got stuck way up there in a building with no elevator, facing the parking lot, and the only stairwell that goes all the way up there is over close to the Casitas quiet pool. Thankfully they were able to move me the next morning and I got a great first floor room in Cabanas 8A. I really wish they had made the Cabanas preferred instead of Casitias 1, 2, and 3. Casitas 1 I can see, but not 2 and 3. I'd pay more to guarantee myself a Cabanas room, but would not be thrilled to pay preferred prices with a parking lot view in Casitas 1 or 2.

:thumbsup2 Me, too. I'd much rather be in the cabanas than anywhere else, although I do think the casitas are the prettiest. I'd pay extra to guarantee cabanas.

Or get stuck on the 4th floor away from the elevator, like where we were a few years ago!! That was aweful after a long day! The walk from the bus stop to the building was fine... but the walk or ride up....then walking down and around to get to our room was horrible.

maybe they will change it! :confused3

Does anybody know if they carry hamburger buns in the sundries section of the gift shop? I can't remember if they did or not from our last trip.

My wife and i booked a stay at CSR for Dec 1 - 7th a while ago, only to find our much later there is a cheerleader convention that weekend. We have limited options if we want to move but does anyone have any suggestions what it might be like at the resort during this type of convention?
