I will be setting up a temporary thread with a link back to this one. Kathy will start the new official/unofficial thread when she gets the chance - I think she just got back from Marco Island last night, so we might use the temporary thread for a few days.

No way to do it automatically, just have to keep an eye on the boards. Though, I'm sure if you ask nicely, Kathy (Katmark) may be able to send you a PM when she sets it up so you can get a heads up. (Assuming Kathy is setting up the next one... otherwise, replace that with whoever sets it up , most likely stitchanpooh'smom if Kathy doesn't do it)

Definitely Kathy. I will set up the temporary thread today so everyone still has a central place to ask questions, but she is the resident expert. This is by far the best organized FAQ thread on the board, as well as the friendliest!

I'm changing things up, it's not like it's only 9 days till Disney. Anyway after hearing some not so good reviews of Maya Grill and DH begging and begging to go to Sanna I switched our reservations. We arrive at the airport at 3:30 pm and I have a reservation for 6:30pm. Planning on taking a cab. Do we have enough time? How much time should I allow to get over to Sanna? I was thinking getting a cab about 6pm.

How are you getting from the airport to CSR? Are you taking Magical Express? It seems to average about 70 minutes from airport to resort using DME, so you should arrive at CSR by 5:00 or earlier if your plane is on time.

I think getting a cab at 6:00 is a good plan, if not a few minutes earlier. I don't think it is more than 10 minutes from CSR to AKL (you'll probably have to get the taxi at El Centro, so allow a few minutes to get there from your room). There is so much to see at AKL, and you are supposed to check in for ADRs 15 minutes early. Just make sure the cab drops you at Kidani or you will have a ten minute walk from Jambo House.

This time of year, since there are fewer weather related delays than high summer or deep winter, you should be fine, especially since you're not relying on ME.

I usually budget 2hrs from touchdown to "in-room" when taking ME, and so far I've beaten that every time (well, except last time, as the room wasn't ready yet ). With a cab, you're going to skip the ME bus loading (~10-20 minutes) as well as not have to wait for it to arrive (could be 30minutes).

CSR to AKL should only take about 5-10 minutes by car, so your plan of leaving CSR by 6pm should work out just fine. (I haven't done it to Kidani yet, but we drove to AKL twice, and I took a cab back once).

Now, don't want to get you second guessing, but I returned to Maya Grill on this trip (yes, after I said I wouldn't...) and it had improved again. Service was good, food was tasty, and the Margarita flight was very good.

However, Sanaa is a step above it. I also ate there for the "Dine with an Animal Caretaker" lunch, and it was excellent. The food was amazing and the service was spectacular .

As long as your plane isn't late, you should be fine. It's nice to arrive at AKL before it gets dark so you can see the animals, although Jambo has night vision goggles if you want to check that out after dinner.

We were late for a Boma reservation once when our plane was delayed and we were taking ME. They were able to still seat us, but I did call from the DME bus to let them know we were running late.

I don't think it locks automatically, the mods do it.

One thing that I didn't see mention here, is that they're in the process (or may be finished by now) of refurbing the elevators as well. For sure they had done at least 1 of the "Tower Elevators" in Casitas 1 (the right hand side one, never saw the left hand side one after the right was finished) by the time I left last week and I'd assume they're working through them all. It appears as though they just started this maybe last Wed/Thurs though, so it may be a slower process.

I know, I know, big whoop, but they look super nice with the new decor. It's MUCH more upscale than the standard elevator look they previously had.

I do have before and after pics, but they haven't been processed yet, will get to them tonight and upload to share.

I'm "a" DDP math expert, not "the" (there are a few of us who have a really good handle on the numbers and the mechanics behind them). It's actually a lot easier than it looks, but it can be very tedious and I don't blame anyone for not wanting to go through it all. Plus, I like numbers (in fact, it's one of my favorite shows that used to be on the air ), so it works out.

Very nice . Hope you have a great time!

I only have about...um... unknown number until I get back . Though I am thinking a shorter, late April trip may be in order this year (mainly for my camera plus the flower and garden festival). I am, however, looking at POFQ though for a change, and then probably CBR/VWL (or some other DVC rental) for next fall. I may be out of the CSR loop for a little bit here .

Awww, thanks! I'm just the rookie relief pitcher - we are waiting for our ace starter to get back to work once she comes down from the WDW euphoria.

Besides, it has definitely been a group effort - one of the many reasons I love this thread and all of us CSR groupies!
