Just checked in CSR for our first visit!! It is a beautiful resort! We are in ranchos 7B and it is perfect! I love tbe easy stroll to El Centro. We had a yummy sooner at Pepper Market. There isn't anything confusing about it! I love the bathroom set up too. We have stayed at WL and BWV but so far I prefer this!!

Thanks for checking in. I'm glad you like Ranchos 7B (that's what we are requesting for September). Take lots of pictures to hold me over until September. But most important...have fun!

Just wanted to ask a question with regard to the Magical Express.

Can anyone with a WDW resort reservation take the ME from the airport? I realize that they only do luggage handling if you are arriving by certain airlines and that we will have to collect our luggage ourselves. But will we be able to take ME to CSR or do we have to arrange our own transporation?

If it makes a difference, we booked the Memories FD package.

For luggage handling, it doesn't matter which airline you're arriving on. It's only an issue about which airline you're departing on (whether you can check your luggage at your resort). If your name is on a reservation at any Disney resort, you can take ME; just make sure that you make an ME reservation in advance. They'll send you luggage tags that you can put on your bags so that the ME personnel will know which bags go where.

If you want to collect your own luggage, you can. That's up to you.

Happy Memorial day weekend everyone!!

I noticed many of you mentioning that you couldn't get into your room until around 4. I'm ok with that but I do have a question. We will be using ME so I know our luggage will go directly to the room. I will pack in my carry on anything I'll need in the afternoon, however, can I leave additional bags at the resort? We plan on checking in and heading out. I don't want to wait around to get our room but I also don't want to drag my carryon's all over with us. Can I leave them when we check in and have them delivered to our room with the rest of the luggage?

TIA!!

Yes, they will store your bags at Bell services.

We're back! We had a wonderful stay at the lovely Coronado Springs! Still as fabulous as we remembered and really enjoyed our vacation. The family that we travelled with also loved the CSR, so we have some new fans, too!

I don't have time to do a full wrap-up, but here's the quick review:

First, we arrived mid-day last Saturday and waited for the rest of our party to arrive to check in. We checked in together and I asked where our rooms were located. They were in Ranchos 7B, which I was a little disappointed about because I had requested Cabanas. However, the CM did say that our rooms were connecting, which was our primary request. He called back to the room assigner to find out if any connecting rooms in Cabanas were available and they were not, nor in Casitas. They could get us "close" but not connnecting. We decided to stay with what we were assigned. My family's room was ready (it was about 2:00) but my cousin's was not yet. We went to find our rooms and they were on the first floor (a first for us - we've always had 2nd floor rooms) AND it was pool-side. I mean, walk out of our room and 20 steps from the quiet pool. FABULOUS location. :cool1: I was a little concerned that we might hear noise at night from the pool, but we heard none at all. While we were unloading our car and organizing the room, we saw Mousekeeping enter my cousin's room to service it, and within a matter of minutes of them leaving, she had a text message that her room was ready. We all got dressed to swim and went to the Dig Site, which my kids LOVED. The pool was really full, and there was a line for the slide, but it went quickly and we all had fun on it. We dipped in the quiet pool on our way back to our room before walking over to Pepper Market for dinner. I'll say that we got turned around and went the long way from our room to El Centro and it took about 15 minutes. When we went home the right way, it was about 12 minutes at a normal pace.

Our room was spotless every day, we had a very nice Mousekeeper. It was cleaned early in the day (she came by when we were packing up at 9:00). No special treatment like towel animals and such, but that's OK. We just like a nice clean room before we come back for an afternoon break.

We had just the one meal at Pepper Market, which was good. We had a quick breakfast at Cafe Rix this morning before we left, and although we had to wait for our sandwiches, it was late in the morning (10:30-ish) so they were winding down from breakfast.

We spent some time at the Arcade, which was a little small for the size of the resort. My 5-yr-old loved the playground.

The quiet pool was never very busy, maybe max of 15 people we saw one day. The day we were at the Dig Site it was very busy. The resort did not seem busy until the last couple of days before the holiday weekend.

Bus service was mostly good. We had 8:10/8:15 breakfasts 2 mornings and caught buses in plenty of time. One afternoon we were going back to DHS for dinner and waited about 40 minutes for a bus - I called from the phone at the bus-stop and the CM put me on hold for several minutes and came back to tell me that one was entering the property then and should be there in a few minutes. It did arrive within about 4-5 minutes, but we were still late to our ADR. On the whole, using mostly buses for 6 days (we did use our van for a couple of trips), we got where we needed to go in decent time. We used Bus Stop #4 -- it was maybe a 5-minute walk from our room.

Well, guess my "quick" review wasn't! :rotfl: I tried to post from CSR, but DIS timed me out and I didn't try again. I'll post some pictures after I upload them.

We don't use ME, but I am sure I have read that you can check your carryon's.

I can't believe you are back already.:eek::eek: Where did that time go?

Big question of the day: did you get to use the hammock? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Thanks for the review and I'm glad you still found CSR fabulous. And good to hear your thoughts on 7B as that is where we want to be in September.

Anxious to see the pictures.

I had a couple questions that I was wondering if someone who has stayed at CSR before could answer. How is the tea at the food court? Is it just like the tea at the value resorts and in the theme parks or is it better? I find the tea at most places at WDW really gross. Also I was wondering if someone could provide a little more information on room service. I've heard that they do this at CSR and was hoping to take advantage of it for breakfast at least once. How does it work and what are your options for food? Thanks! Only 14 more days! :goodvibes

In March, the tea at CSR is an assortment of mixed tea bags. There is a wooden box filled with them. There was earl gray, English breakfast, a lemon, perhaps more. I only liked the English breakfast. It was the same assortment they had a Pop Century.

I think I took a picture of the room service menu. I'll have to dig for it. It's a full menu. The items were pretty expensive and there is a delivery fee.

We're booked at CSR 11/13-11/20. I got a PIN for 20% off room only.:banana::banana::banana:

We'll actually arrive on 11/12 but we're staying the first night at ASMo because we've always stayed there and actually really love it so it's kind of sentimental to us. Plus our 2 y/o DS loves Toy Story so I know he'd love to explore the resort.

This will be our first stay at a Mod and I'm super excited about staying at CSR. The entire resort looks beautiful and the bigger beds and slightly bigger room will be nice for our first trip as a family of 4. I think the doors on the vanity area will be really nice too and will allow us to get a head start on dressing in the AM without waking the kids.

I'm thinking of requesting Cabanas 9B as it looks to be close to the main building and reasonably close to the Dig Site. Any suggestions or recommendatons there? Are rooms in the building considered preferred?

Now I have to keep myself busy for the next (almost) 6 months. At least I have plenty of time to decide what we'll wear for our very first ever MVMCP. :jumping1:

Hi, everyone- brand new to the DIS boards, two-month-long lurker. :cool2:

Does anyone know if the rooms at CSR have audio/video inputs on the TV? I called the Front desk about this- they didn't know, so they transferred me to Housekeeping and one lady on the phone said the TVs didn't have any inputs while another person I could hear in the background insisted they did. So after hearing from 3 employees about this, I didn't get a clear answer. Specifically, I'm just looking for the standard RCA inputs to watch some videos from my iPod to show up on the TV.

Anyone been at CSR lately that knows for sure? :confused3 Thanks in advance.

Yes, they are all newer LCD flat screen tv's with the normal plug-ins you would expect.

Yes, Cabanas 9A&9B, along with the Casitas are preferred rooms.

We were there last week and successfully hooked up our cameras to the tv's to view our photos and video.

KatMark have they changed the preferred rooms? This is the second time today I've read that Cabanas 9A and 9B are now preferred? It also says over on the Mouse For Less site that they are:

'Coronado Springs has a few new categories. You’ll find the Standard View, Water View and King Bed Rooms, as well as some Suites which are mostly geared to the business traveler. They now have Preferred Rooms in Casitas 1 and 2 as well as Cabanas 9A and 9B. You can also book a Preferred Water View or a Preferred King Room.'

I called CSR today to see if they could book us (me and my gf) in Casitas 4, 'cause we want to work out/lift weights while we're there and be close to the workout room. Seems like no one requests it, 'cause there was no problem trying to get Casitas 4. I guess the other Casitas are "preferred"?

Casitas 4 and 5 are both standard. As a matter of fact, Casitas 4 is frequently requested because it's right next to the health club, quiet pool, and the first bus stop (bus stop 2).

There is never a problem with the CM adding any request you want to a reservation. Just remember it is a request only. You can not be 'booked' into any specific building until you actually check in at the resort. Rooms are not assigned until about three days before check in. When you call the CSR number, you are not actually speaking to anyone at the resort anyway. All calls go to a call center and depending on which resort button lights up, the CM answers for that resort. I always request first floor, Cabanas 8A, but have only gotten it once. I've been in Casitas 1, Casitas 2, Cabanas 9B (twice), Cabanas 9A, and Cabanas 8A. Just don't want you to be disappointed.
