We're back! We had a wonderful stay at the lovely Coronado Springs! Still as fabulous as we remembered and really enjoyed our vacation. The family that we travelled with also loved the CSR, so we have some new fans, too!
I don't have time to do a full wrap-up, but here's the quick review:
First, we arrived mid-day last Saturday and waited for the rest of our party to arrive to check in. We checked in together and I asked where our rooms were located. They were in Ranchos 7B, which I was a little disappointed about because I had requested Cabanas. However, the CM did say that our rooms were connecting, which was our primary request. He called back to the room assigner to find out if any connecting rooms in Cabanas were available and they were not, nor in Casitas. They could get us "close" but not connnecting. We decided to stay with what we were assigned. My family's room was ready (it was about 2:00) but my cousin's was not yet. We went to find our rooms and they were on the first floor (a first for us - we've always had 2nd floor rooms) AND it was pool-side. I mean, walk out of our room and 20 steps from the quiet pool. FABULOUS location.

I was a little concerned that we might hear noise at night from the pool, but we heard none at all. While we were unloading our car and organizing the room, we saw Mousekeeping enter my cousin's room to service it, and within a matter of minutes of them leaving, she had a text message that her room was ready. We all got dressed to swim and went to the Dig Site, which my kids LOVED. The pool was really full, and there was a line for the slide, but it went quickly and we all had fun on it. We dipped in the quiet pool on our way back to our room before walking over to Pepper Market for dinner. I'll say that we got turned around and went the long way from our room to El Centro and it took about 15 minutes. When we went home the right way, it was about 12 minutes at a normal pace.
Our room was spotless every day, we had a very nice Mousekeeper. It was cleaned early in the day (she came by when we were packing up at 9:00). No special treatment like towel animals and such, but that's OK. We just like a nice clean room before we come back for an afternoon break.
We had just the one meal at Pepper Market, which was good. We had a quick breakfast at Cafe Rix this morning before we left, and although we had to wait for our sandwiches, it was late in the morning (10:30-ish) so they were winding down from breakfast.
We spent some time at the Arcade, which was a little small for the size of the resort. My 5-yr-old loved the playground.
The quiet pool was never very busy, maybe max of 15 people we saw one day. The day we were at the Dig Site it was very busy. The resort did not seem busy until the last couple of days before the holiday weekend.
Bus service was mostly good. We had 8:10/8:15 breakfasts 2 mornings and caught buses in plenty of time. One afternoon we were going back to DHS for dinner and waited about 40 minutes for a bus - I called from the phone at the bus-stop and the CM put me on hold for several minutes and came back to tell me that one was entering the property then and should be there in a few minutes. It did arrive within about 4-5 minutes, but we were still late to our ADR. On the whole, using mostly buses for 6 days (we did use our van for a couple of trips), we got where we needed to go in decent time. We used Bus Stop #4 -- it was maybe a 5-minute walk from our room.
Well, guess my "quick" review wasn't!

I tried to post from CSR, but DIS timed me out and I didn't try again. I'll post some pictures after I upload them.
