Has anyone used the gym at this resort? Does it have an elliptical? The Buzz2001 Coranado Springs site says that the fitness centre is complimentary but I remember reading somewhere that there was a fee to use it. Does anyone have any info on this? Thanks.

I've nto personally used the gym, but there is NO fee unless you are a guest at another resort.

One week to go! Only 4 more days of work after today.:cool1: Can't wait. A lot to do this weekend!

How exciting!!!! It willbe here before you know it.

Leaving in 2 weeks! :cool1:

We decided to go half-way on Friday night so we can meet the rest of our party when they arrive via ME sometime after noon on Saturday. We are so excited we can hardly stand it! :cheer2:

Kathy, if you remember a few weeks ago, I told you that I was really clinging to this trip because my mom had been in the hospital a number of weeks and was still struggling. I'm happy to report that she's made amazing progress in the last 10 days and is headed to a rehab center today! This will make my last 2 weeks of planning a lot less stressful and more enjoyable, not having to worry so much about her! Thanks for the  when I needed it!

Claire, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy to hear about your mom. And the hug is there any time you need it (I've been getting lots of hugs on my PTR as we found out last night our dog has cancer and today would have been my dad's 85th birthday).

I want lots of pics from you, Claire. :goodvibes

Somehow the past few months have gone by really fast and now we are suddenly leaving a week from tomorrow for our 8 day stay at CSR!:banana::banana: I just needed to tell somebody! This thread has been so helpful with preparing and planning, so thanks again so much to all the posters. Now its off to the store to mail all of our liquids to CSR!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: Sounds like you are celebrating a lot of good stuff. :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I will be at CSR the same time as you! I know what you mean about it sneaking up- I can't believe it's only a week away!!:yay:

The fitness centre at CSR was a very pleasant suprise for me. It is one of the best small hotel type fitness rooms I've seen. They have a bunch of brand new weights and machines along with several pieces of cardio equipment. It was better than the Hard Rock hotel we stayed at after, it was also better than both the Boardwalk and Swan/Dolphin fitness center which I looked at while we were there. Of course it's no World's Gym, but it was better than I was expecting. The fitness centre their will actual play a big fastor in us choosing to stay again at CSR for our next Disney trip.

TUESDAY - YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Despite the ME being a part of the entire experience, we are renting a car - $80.02 7d/6n INCLUDING taxes. We were going to need 3 taxis anyway - to Outlet Mall, to Bahama Breeze & back to hotel. I had $50 to $60 planned for taxis anyway so this will be just a tad more & provide us the freedom to come & go as we please. We arrive at 5:38 pm so I'm hoping with no long wait for luggage we can check-in, head to DTD for Earl & then to Walmart for cereal, soda & snacks. This way I get to avoid packing cereal & snack bars in the suitcase.

Perfect! :rotfl:

It appears that the Maya Grill is not serving the buffet breakfast any longer. We loved it in 2008 and will be back in April 2012. Does anyone know what's up with this?

Late last year, they charged it to an ala carte breakfast where you order off the menu. I liked the buffet the one time we had it and was a little disappointed to read this myself.

Thanks for your info on this! I'm actually surprised there is no fee for the fitness centre because I think all of the hotels I've ever stayed at charge a fee for their gyms. I guess its a nice little extra bit of Disney Magic for me then, hehe! :wizard: Its nice to know my waist line wont expand from all the eating we will be doing.

Yeah, they charge $10 a day at the Hard Rock for the fitness centre. Fortunately we got a really good deal on a club level room which includes fitness centre use. I don't think any of the Disney resorts charge for fitness centre if you are staying there. I used the CSR room 4 times and no one ever asked for a room key or name, but you need you key to get in after hours.

(I guess I should change my username because I no longer live in TX!!)

20 days from today we will be checking in to CSR after a long trip from Anchorage, AK! We have stayed at WL and BWV but mostly we have stayed offsite. We have gone to DL or WDW almost every year since 2001! This is a trip with some firsts though:
First time at CSR
First time not renting a car and using only Disney transportation
First time using ME
First time eating at Marrakesh (it has been on our list every year but I always get cold feet and cancel)
First time getting a refillable mug (is it just standard soft drinks and coffee or are juices and hot chocolate included)
First time taking Illuminations Cruise
First time with "free"dining (this trip was originally planned at an offsite timeshare with SW,DC, and BG and then "free" dining happened :yay:)

I picked CSR because of the queen size beds and needed at least a mod to get the regular dining plan. I think it looks like a beautiful resort.

We plan on rope drops every morning but taking long afternoon breaks. Last year we travelled with my sis in law and family and did a lot of shows, so this year we plan on skipping a lot of shows except for:
LMA (didn't make it last year)
Indy (haven't seen it in a long time)
FotLK (I don't think we are capable of skipping it!)

I'm hoping the marina will be open to rent a boat (another first). We have 10 day non park hoppers. We check in the evening of the 27th and check out the 5th. Week 2 will be offsite and we will go to AK, DC, and SW with a couple of relaxing days the 2nd week!

Can't wait!!!

Welcome to the CSR thread. So glad that you are giving a CSR a try; I don't think you will be disappointed...it truly is a beautiful resort.

Even if the marina is open, you would be better off going to the Contemporary or the Polynesian to rent a boat as there is more space to travel/explore. The Lake at the CSR is big, but not large by any means and you don't leave the area.

The queen beds are heavenly and make for a great sleep away from home.

Have a magical trip!

I don't think this is very funny. I want a turn in the hammock!

:lmao::rotfl2:

You know, there is more than ONE hammock! :thumbsup2

If Claire and her group are using the one in the Casitas, you can go grab one of the ones in the Cabanas.

Just have a drink in it thinking of me when you do. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

But I don't wanna go to the Cabanas! :sad1:

Well, you could get a room in the Casitas (our favorite) and then take a walk to the hammock if the one and only in the Casitas is being hogged by Claire's family. Or you could just accidentally push them out. ;)
