Well, you could get a room in the Casitas (our favorite) and then take a walk to the hammock if the one and only in the Casitas is being hogged by Claire's family. Or you could just accidentally push them out. ;)

Thanks for the great idea! :idea:

I've requested Casitas 4 or 5. If Claire is hogging it, I may just have to "stumble" and she may "fall out". ;)

:lmao::rotfl2:

Late last year, they charged it to an ala carte breakfast where you order off the menu. I liked the buffet the one time we had it and was a little disappointed to read this myself.

We ate there almost every morning to load up before we left for the parks. After that breakfast all we needed was a light lunch or snack to get us thru the day until dinner.:charac2:

So in the end we did not use online check in. We were all ready to do it, but then there was no place for us to type our room request. Only a pop up box asking about a fridge (which you already get at CSR) first floor, baby crib (or something of that nature). I think we will stick with the fax method so we have a better chance of getting what we want. We have a King bed with a water view booked. We are hoping to be in the Cabanas, building 9A on the second floor.

I would have loved to use the online check in so our Key to the Kingdom would be ready to go, but if I can't put in specifics for the online check in then I'd rather wait. We get into Orlando at 10:20 a.m. so even with check in and the bus ride we figure we'll be a MK no later then 1. Still a good half a day to have fun!!

Could you tell me how to put the coutdown banner on my signiture?

Thanks

Here now (typing this from Pepper market) and loving it so far!! In Cabanas and love the room and location! Service at Pepper market is leving a bit to be desired, but hey, it happens.
I was hoping someone could tell me how to set the temp in our room? I can't seem to get it lower than 72.
Thanks!!
Let me know if you have any questions!

We are packed and ready to leave tomorrow morning for our first stay at CSR!:woohoo: We requested the Casistas building four or five but will be happy if we get the Cabanas too.

It looks like it is going to be hot next week so we have plenty of sun screen for the little ones.

I just want to thank Kat,Claire, Buzz if your on here and everyone else for answering all my questions. This was a great thread and I'm a little sad that my planning of the trip is coming to an end. ( I know, makes no sense)

I will give a full report when we get back on the 15th.

Pepper Market is hit or miss with service (no excuse...but NOT Disney employees).

I hope this helps with the thermostat:

The CSR has Central Air (not wall units). To adjust the temperature, follow these instructions: On the
thermostat, push the power button and the down arrow (button that adjusts the temp) at the exact same time.
If you do this correctly, you will see the letters "bp" where the temp normally shows. You are now bypassing the
sensors in the room. You can then set the temp to whatever you want and it keeps the room that cold whether
you are in it or not. You might have to do this once a day as the thermostat tends to go back to sensor mode
after 24 hours.

I hope you have a most magical trip; please let us know how it went when you get back and what you thought of the CSR. :goodvibes

Mama Grave - hope to spot you & wave next week! We arrive Tuesday night. You can look for the 5' tall pale white pasty Wisconsinite & 2 teens LOL.

:sad:

I don't think this is very funny. I want a turn in the hammock!

:lmao::rotfl2:

You know, there is more than ONE hammock! :thumbsup2

If Claire and her group are using the one in the Casitas, you can go grab one of the ones in the Cabanas.

Just have a drink in it thinking of me when you do. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

But I don't wanna go to the Cabanas! :sad1:

Actually, I've requested Cabanas, so you can probably have the Casitas one.

2 weeks from tonight I'll be drifting off to dreamland in my happy place! :cloud9:

Awesome!! I will be the 6' 5" guy with a short wife and three daughters 8, 8 and 6.

Come by and say hi if you see us.

At the top of this page, you'll see many different tabs. Click the one that says "Tickers," and you will be able to make your own. You'll be given about 3 options of code; the one you want starts with and ends with [url]. To put it in...signature box. Hope this helps! :thumbsup2

Problem solved then! I take the Casitas hammock, you take Cabanas. :cloud9: We arrive just one day after you, and can't wait!

TWO WEEKS!!!!! :woohoo::woohoo:

All the suites are located in the casitas with the exception of 2 jr suites located in the cabanas, one in 8b and one in 9b.

Does anyone know whether the cabanas junior suites are King suites, Queen suites or one of each? TIA.

TUESDAY - YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Despite the ME being a part of the entire experience, we are renting a car - $80.02 7d/6n INCLUDING taxes. We were going to need 3 taxis anyway - to Outlet Mall, to Bahama Breeze & back to hotel. I had $50 to $60 planned for taxis anyway so this will be just a tad more & provide us the freedom to come & go as we please. We arrive at 5:38 pm so I'm hoping with no long wait for luggage we can check-in, head to DTD for Earl & then to Walmart for cereal, soda & snacks. This way I get to avoid packing cereal & snack bars in the suitcase.

jgates,
can you tell me how and where you got such a good deal on the rental car?

Wanted to tell everyone about our amazing time at the Coronado! We just returned from an absolutely wonderful stay (May 1-7) with just my husband and I at this hotel, and it was PERFECT! The pictures of this resort really do not do it justice, and were blown away by how everything looked in person.

We would have been happy anywhere in the resort, and went fully expecting to do some walking. We went not putting in any room requests, and got Cabanas 9B which was a great location, but anywhere in the resort would have been OK! We LOVED everything about the room!

Every night we took a walk around the lake, and it is not as big as it seems in pictures. It took us about 5 or 6 minutes to get from the Ranchos section back to the main building, and we thought it was a beautiful section, and a really nice walk. We have now been to every resort on property for at least a meal, and this is the prettiest resort on property in my opinion.

The rooms were very clean, and very modern looking! We loved having the huge amount of counter space (compared to our previous stay at the Contemporary). Mouse Keeping was phenomenal, the room was spotless every day with plenty of towels, shampoo, etc. The hotel was also in the center of each park , and was a very quick ride everywhere. The beds were SO COMFORTABLE!

We loved both Cafe Rix and the Pepper Market. I had a Latte every morning at Cafe Rix, and it was great! Absolutely no complaints about the Pepper Market food or service, but we did only have 2 meals there. One late night for some amazing nachos and dessert, and the other in the morning for some good french toast. Other than that we ate at the parks or Cafe Rix. It was very simple, just have someone stamp your ticket, then pay. Much easier than bringing a full tray of food up to the counter to pay with.

As for the conventioners, there were 3 large conventions going on when we were there, (completely booked) and the resort did not feel crowded at all. The only place we saw conventioners were at the Laguna Bar at night, and everyone was extremely friendly. Other than that the resort was extremely quiet, and we did not notice them at all. We never saw them at the pool, and even though there were a lot of people at the pool, it still didn't feel crowded. It is HUGE pool.

I just can't say enough good things about our stay at this hotel. I miss it already! :sad2: We will surely be back when we return to Disney!

Sorry...that I don't know. When we had ours in the Casitas, it was two standards (which would now be queen).

Jetta8300, thank you so much for coming back to let us know what you thought of CSR. I'm so glad that you and your DH enjoyed your stay there.

I'm glad you had good mousekeeping (and it just goes to show that it really depends on the individual mousekeeper if you have good or bad mousekeeping). I'm glad you enjoyed PM and Cafe Rix (I get a cappucino every morning and though thtey are not Starbucks, they are darn good).

Did you take any pics to post?

You're welcome! I did take lots of pics, but i'm afraid I don't know how to post them. I'll try and figure it out, maybe my husband will help me when he gets home later!
