Note to self: possibility of no house keeping until 6:00 pm. I think I can deal with it. At least I know.

We always go back in the afternoon..usually after 2pm so it's nice to have the room done so we can rest and get ready for dinner rather than sitting around expecting housekeeping to come.

You would think they would clean the rooms while everyone is at the park during the day 6pm seems crazy..........

Strange question, but do they have an ice cream bar at Pepper Market or Cafe Rix?

Panchitos (the gift shop) has food items in the back of the store. I believe there is a freezer compartment there that might stock prepackaged ice cream items. ;)

(I can only vouch for the wine & beer in the refrigerator section! :rotfl:)

Checked out of CSR this morning.

The front desk staff checking us in were amazing and our magic bands (that we got last month from Pop Century) worked the whole time except for the lounge which I'm sure probably would work now since they are "live" with the bands.

The lounge staff were above and beyond great! A lot of them remembered us from Feb. We make it a point to stop there every morning for breakfast and at least once a night either before or after dinner since we're paying for it! The selections were great but no bottled water which was probably the only downfall. They CMs said people were taking armfuls of them and the bottle service was suspended. I mostly had Sangrias but enjoyed the Corona with lime too!

The pool was great and always clean. We enjoyed the hot tub around the 11pm hour on 3 nights. It was never busy or overrun with unsupervised children (like the first day we went).

We ate at Cafe Rix for snacks and one meal. It was very good and fresh! I'm about to eat the Turkey sandwich for dinner now in my apt! We didn't eat at Pepper Market but the the last trips we did were great.

The buses were always timed perfectly for us which encourages us to take the bus more often and it was nice not driving around Disney for once. In all fairness we did not use the bus at park close except after the 10:30pm parade for MNSSHP and the 2nd Fantasmic Show.

Our only major complaint was housekeeping. We were in the same housekeeping block in Feb and it was equally as bad. Day 1, DF came back from Epcot and the room was not touched at 3pm. He called and was told that they didn't clean because they thought people were resting?! He left for Epcot at 9:30am and took the sign off the door. Day 2, we saw the housekeeper and asked her to clean the room which she did at some point. Day 3, it was nearing 4pm and she had not touched the room (we left at 9:45am). When we called we were told they service till 6pm?! I've never heard of Disney servicing till 6pm or later unless it was turndown service which we did not get. Day 4 I finally called to request a time to be cleaned since that's what I was told the day before but when I did call I was told it's not a guarantee?! Never have we had such crazy housekeeping issues! It will not keep us from staying there of course but I was told 3 different stories every day!

Other than the housekeeping we had a great trip and will return again, especially in business class!

We just checked out Monday, and must have been in the same section as you. There room was never cleaned well during the week, and we would find random things like one night we came in and our shower curtain was on the floor next to the front door :confused3. I just couldn't bring myself to complain because the mousekeeper was so nice and friendly (and probably old enough that she could retire). Over the weekend we had a different mousekeeper and I could really tell a difference. I still feel bad because in my hurry to check out after getting in at 4 from MK, with so much stuff it wouldn't fit in our suitcase, and a kid so sick she couldn't hold her head up , I left with her tip in my bag :guilty:

Glad to read your review. Will be staying in business class in 7 days! (10/23 - 10/29). Did you use the latte/espresso machine? Just hoping it's easy to use.

Do they still have Yuengling beer as well as Corona?

Thanks!

We had a great stay in September and love CSR, but Mousekeeping was off for us too. No towel animals ( fine, not expected, but something we usually get) and room I cleaned at 4:00. We would leave for roped top and come back to relax around 3 or 4 before heading back out. What a pain to then have to leave so room could be cleaned. We have never encountered this lateness before.

Yes the machine was easy to use. If you need help the CM's are right there.

I did not use the machine but the CMs can help you. They have Corona (with limes if you'd like), Bud Light, and Yuengling. They have a white and red wine plus red sangria that is pre-made since the hosts are not bartender trained!

As for the housekeeping..it seems like this is maybe an on-going issue and I will possibly write a letter concerning it. Even the day we saw the housekeeper in the hall and asked for our room to be cleaned we were left with just two bathroom towels and no toilet paper. The toilet paper we called about to get took 30 mins to come and then she took one of them away the next day..I should have hidden it!!! DF and I said of all the Disney resorts you always see mousekeeping out at as early as 8am and knocking on your door if you don't have the DND sign up. We didn't see hardly any housekeepers out in building 9 until the afternoon or the earliest was maybe 10:30am?! I was shocked that our room was ready at 7am when we checked in, obviously someone was not in it the night before!

No towel animals for us either and I tipped daily but I'm assuming whomever did it felt rushed as we had to call 3 out of the 4 housekeeping days plus one day of verbally telling the housekeeper we were leaving and the room was free to clean.

Thanks for the replies about beer selection and the latte/espresso machine.

Will let y'all know how housekeeping goes for us next week. I'm pretty quick to let housekeeping and or front desk if housekeeping is not doing a good job so if it is an issue I will try to get it addressed.

Are last stay at CSR was for 14 nights, we were in Casitas 4 and the housekeeping was fantastic. As all these complaints are from Business Class I'm wondering if the problem is the housekeeping team that is currently assigned to that building? We also had a 14 night stay in Ranchos 7B and I don't recall any housekeeping issues that stay either. Strange they would have their worst crew assigned to the most expensive building...lol

Hmmm all these housekeeping issues. sigh
And I have my little thank you envelopes ready to go! But won't be happy if I come back to nap and I get woken so they can clean the room.

Well if things are not going well, I'm putting up the sign to not clean my room, Save the tip! I hope this doesn't happen cause I like the TLC with the Mickey towels.

Daniel is one of the CMs that seemed to always be working in the BC lounge in the mornings. Such a friendly person and always asked people if they needed help with the latte machine. They were so willing to do anything to make your stay more enjoyable.

Regarding a few comments about housekeeping in BC, I didn't have any problems when I was there in May. My room was always cleaned while I was at the park and whenever I came back in the afternoon it was done. I always hate coming back to a room that wasn't done so I feel for anyone that didn't have good housekeeping.

Do you mean Beach Club (BC) or CSR? Just curious...

Ainsley, JT and Kate from Australia were excellent in the Evenings. Hoping they are all there in April.

My kids were rearranging their pins while we were in the lounge. My son lost his favorite pin . He was telling JT about it. JT ran to the concierge desk and grabbed the big pin book for my kids to look at. That's one they missed. (they looked at evry pin at the resort...so they thought) DS's eyes light up when he found the pin on the last page of a very large book.

BC is business class at CSR. It's an upgrade.
